Boyi M4/16 Metal Body

Test model provided by armsdealer from Airsoft Battle Zone.
Product price: $65 from Airsoft Battle Zone
This item will be reviewed in comparsion with HurricanE and G&P metal bodies. Any wear / use marking is from prior testing before I reviewed the item.

The shape and style of the Boyi metal body are very similar to that of the HurricanE metal body, just with no tabs on the upper receiver. With that said, the upper and lower portions are almost swappable with a pre-existing HurricanE metal body.
While the body is the same shape and style of a HurricanE, the quality of metal used is more similar to that of a G&P metal body.

Just some of the major things that stand out when looking over the Boyi metal body:
- The dust cover is very similar to that of a Tokyo Marui and HurricanE. When you pull the charging handle back, the dust cover pops open and stays open, allowing access to the hopup adjustment. With the G&P you must pull the dust cover door open by hand, and hold it open, to adjust the hopupt..
- When looking at the HurricanE or G&P and the Boyi upper receivers, the forward assist knob on the Boyi is a little shorter.
- Where the normal "T#" markings are on the flat top rail, the Boyi metal body only has visible seam lines.
- The bolt release is pinned to the metal body, making it almost impossible to loose.
- Like the newer style G&P style bodies, the lower receiver has a "wire hole" cut into it just below the rear extension. A little off center on this model, but it gets the job done of allowing wires to run to a crane stock with less chance of problems.
- Similar to the G&P style, there are no tabs on the upper portion of the metal body.
- Unlike many other style metal bodies, the Boyi has no trademarks or design on it. The only markings on the metal body are the "Safe, Semi, Auto" markings.

The one thing I did make sure to test out on the metal body was to see if it would fit a Classic Army delta ring.  The CA delta ring seems to have threading on it that is off by a little where G&P metal bodies will not accept the delta ring.
The Boyi metal body accepted the CA delta ring as if it were made for it.
So far this is one of the only metal bodies that I have been able to find that accepts all RIS delta ring or RAS locking rings.

For the price, the metal body is well worth it. As stated, the design is very similar to that of a HurricanE metal body, but built with different metals.
It was my understanding when talking to armsdealer that the body comes with everything already. This means that you get those little pieces that Hurricane, G&P, Systema, etc, don't include like the selector lever, button cover for the opposite side of the fire select, trigger guard, locking pins, dust cover that opens like Marui guns, charging handle, mag release, along with the bolt release, forward assist knob, and gearbox pin.
