Review of G&G RK 104 (AK 104)

I just posted a review of the New (not yet released) G&G RK104 on Arnie's.

Be warned, there are a lot of pix, so if you're using 56k it'll take a while.

It seems like, G&G selles them for around 375-450 ish.

nice write-up, Tank. even though the gun you reviewed is a "sample", is that pretty much the final version? i'm just wondering if they'll be packaging 74 mags with the retail guns, versus the 47 mag that came with yours. i also found it interesting that the styrofoam had a cut-out for a larger AK variant. have you heard anything about another upcoming model from G&G?

Thanks. I don't know if the actual release guns will have the 47 or 74 mags.
the 47 mags make it an AK 104 and the 74 mags make it an AK 105.

As far as other AK variants...No official word yet, but I'd be VERY surprised if they do NOT release more AK variants.

Is the gearbox the new type (refererring to the "recall" on the m16 ones)? Was this solely for m16 gearboxes or a G&G problem coming up for all their AEG's?

Is there anyway to get a side-side shot with the TM ak and the spetz (just for visiual comparison) as people were commenting on waiting for a full-length version?

Just to double check, a 3300 8.4 battery will fit no problem?

Right now the price to preorder on redwolf for this beautiful gun is $325.00 USD. It should come out next week some time. So far I plan to make this my first airsoft gun. I usually borrow a Tokyo Marui AK Beita Spetsnaz when i play. So I am looking forward to pooling my christmas and birthday money together which are both comming up and buying it.

This gun has a version 3 gearbox. The recall G&G has is on their old GR16 (ver.2) gearbox shell. They recalled them because the shells were not 100% compatible with Marui & Systema parts. In the unlikely event that there are some future problems with any G&G guns they will surely fix the issue & issue replacement parts for free. As they have done with the few problems they've discovered so far. They have gone to great lengths to fix the problems with the early production GR16, M14, & UMG.

I'd advise against buying anything from Red Wolf. You would be better off buying it from a US retailer. While R.W.'s price may be lower than in the US, you'll pay up to $80 in shipping & customs fees. Plus R.W. is a bunch of deuce-bags. If you have to order from overseas, then order from WGC, or Airsoftshop. You'll still pay an assload in shipping and what-not, but at least they are good companies. Red Wolf can't even do an upgrade right.
