I have some ideas to start with....

1) I can provide many defunct and broken auto parts for use as props from work. Many of these will have no use in the game. A small number of them will be useful and desirable items. I will clean them up so no one needs to get filthy greasy moving them around (Like I do 5 days a week).
Please do not move such props around the field. We need to be able to recover them after the game is over.

2) I would like to see night games added to this event. I have a large water cooled generator available for our use. I hope to use it to provide light in certain areas of the field, and make night play more appealing to players.

I am "the prop guy" for this event. Any questions specific to props, PM me please.

I have a few old 'stock' aeg barrels and stock cylinder sets (cylinder, piston, piston head and spring), what do we thing about use those as repair parts? If anyone else has some of the same, im sure would could get somewhat of a stockpile going. Possibly old gearsets as well.
We would probably have to re-use the same ones but it also depends on if you make people repair the weapon, say based on if it was hit and how many times.

Combat helmets could be used as such. A lot of people who played paintball before airsoft may have the mask we could use as part of a radiation suit or some type of armor.

A vest could be used as a combat vest or armor, but only certain players could use it. We could have everyone bring thier own and if they purchase some, find or loot armor they could be given the option to go and grab their own.

Bottled water is easy to get cases of. Kool-aid/gadorade power or anything else not clear could be considered irradiated, (lemon/lemonade colored would be cool).

Pill bottles that are labeled and have candy for the different kind of drug could be used.

We could make any type of assault rifle, as what it is, in the assault rifle class as to not limit it to a g3 or ak for people who don't own one.

I think the only way we can make this game work the way we are discribing is to make it more of a role playing type game than the normal tournament style game airsoft is. Having one annually with people that have experiance from each game sounds like an interesting and fun game mechanic. It will require a large *NPC base to run though. That might limit the amout of players actually playing but I dont think people will mind. I would be more than happy to just be an NPC role player. They NPC experiance idea is a cool one in itself as well. That way people are rewarded for playing a role and don't lose out when they are not actually 'playing'.

This will definately require a ruck or backpack to carry around all that one may encounter and will make it more of a real life experiance. I sure won't be walking around with the lincoln repeator, blackhawk, combat shotgun, reservest's rifle, a3-21's plasma rifle and a few others like I did in the game. I wouldn't be able to walk right...

Also, what do people think about a few regulator NPC's and even slavers that are assigned specifically to that task?

*Edit: we could also try doing dmg amt by weapon class as well.

I think the ruck idea would work great. Fallout always felt to me like it was part puzzle game/ part scavenger hunt, and I think that if we could bring that same feel to the event it would open up all kinds of different missions/quests for players to involve themselves in.

Missions that involve finding specific parts for an important machine(generator, vehicle, etc.) and some of the parts have to be sold by/relinquished/given by/looted from certain NPC's or opposing camps would be kewl. Or finding medical supplies for a fledgling community suffering illness would be another idea.

I like the thought that water, etc. could be found on-field and may or may not be irradiated. For OPVig, SqH put together immunization packs and medical packs using Smarties and old pill containers. Syringes used for medicating livestock are cheap at farm stores like Farm n Fleet and would be neat objectives(minus the needles, of course!).

This is very much a RPing sort of event(like Freefall) which is one of the things I like about it. But there are opportunities for a little gun-time as well.

Bring on the slavers and the Brotherhood. Nothing like a little bit of action to go along with the commerce:P

I really like the idea of limited ammo on the field. Only game BB's could be used and needing to buy or find more in game. This could encourage the use of weapons that don't chew though the ammo, or maybe even boffers. I would be willing to pay extra for that kind of dienamic in a game.

maybe making other pieces of equipment like radios something you have to buy/find/steal befor you can use them in game.

Armor taking multipul hits befor getting wounded sunds good. One question about that is would it be hits or BB's. If it's BB strikes, Tri and Quinn shot shotguns would be rocken it.

my 2 cents

*Missions being a sure thing-Not too many though, I don't want it to feel like GTA or Farcry 2

*Limited ammo-ammo being handed out at registration and VERY limited ammo on the field

*Ruck sacks for carrying needed items

*Gas masks would be a nice way of keeping Radiation from accumulating too fast (i.e. 20% less radiation with gas mask
equipped)

*just like at Freefall where they had Airsoft Battle Zone selling AEG parts, we could have donated spare AEG parts that can be bought with in game bottle caps

*Maybe have gun hits, where you need to perform a specific action to "repair" your weapon before it's functional again

*for me personally I do not want to see "Tacticool" weapons, no RIS/RAS attachments period. Unless your weapon's powered externally by a PEQ box or battery bag, this is going to be Post apocalyptic Wisconsin not COD: Modern Wisconsin 2 :P bad joke I know hehe

*Bottlecaps for sure as currency, so if you know where to get a crap load of Bottle caps let Phantasmo know. As of right now he's the bottlecap man.

*Character sheets for sure, the only thing I see with that is people having to pull them out too often during combat or during social interactions. I've done VTM LARP and it was fun but sometimes people had to pull out their sheets just to see what skills they had and it really slowed down the game. I can see if you're by your lonesome and you have to check something out, don't be in the middle of a firefight and be "HOLD ON A MINUTE!! I have to check how much my armor reduces your rifle's damage by" or some silly thing. Wookie and myself can hash something out on this, anyone else with LARP experience or really good idea's to keep the game flowing PM either him or myself. One more thing, I'd like to see character sheets that resemble the original Fallout stat screen.

*Now for armor, I'm going to take a cue from Freefall's damage system and say that I'd like to make it so that if Johnny is firing at Billy. Billy is wearing heavy armor (-3 damage) Johnny by an act Xenu hits billy, he pulls his card and it's a 3. Take away 3 damage from his armor rating and Billy is A-ok with 0 damage, I like this idea because Freefalls damage system is pretty solid. The damage system is from Gryphon (Todd) I did not come up with this idea.

*Bottled clear water for purified water and discolored liquids for radiated water would be a very neat way to add to the LARP experience, I like this a lot. Let's say for example if you have to drink the radiated water you'll gain X amount of rads per minute.

*Boffers are a definite must, everyone remembers escaping the vault in Fallout 3 and just beating everything down with the Baseball Bat

*Costumes!! Since this is going to be more LARP orientated look the part, don't be a raider running around in a full woodland loadout. This is has been mentioned before, but if you're going to play a raider think Mad Max. This is going to really be the key factor in making the game look as awesome as possible and putting people in the mindset of a Post Apocalyptic Wisconsin (which will be referred to as PAW from now on) Freefall did an amazing job of looking like something out of the Firefly universe and I came in a full woodland loadout :P

*Pill bottles and syringes- this is a very delicious idea, use old pill bottles and specific candies to coordinate with the different Chems in the game. If someone is good with photoshop they could make labels for the bottles to add some nice details, hell we could even have a Wastland Junkie running around. I'd have to resist the urge to scream "GRABBIN' PEELZ" whenever I find a pill bottle :P

These aren't just my ideas but a combo of everyone else's and mine, I really want to give credit where it's due so if we use an idea that you know is your's let me know via PM. The last thing I want to do is have someones idea get used and they don't get the praise they deserve.
