Is there any limit on force sizes or a ratio of US:Afghanis?

Is there any limit on force sizes or a ratio of US:Afghanis?
So far, no player cap but if we put one, it will be at about 250. Ratio will be between 1-1 and 3-4 with US side being out-numbered if anything. We will not allow the US side to have more troops then the FF side, but even numbers are hoped for.
When we open registration to groups first, we will see how much balance we have. If the US side out-numbers the FF side, we will only take FF enteries in the individual registrations and start a "US side waiting list".
The thing to keep in mind about the Round-Up games is that though the US has APCs and all that, they also have stricht ROE. The Freedom Fighters are also able to down their weapons and go mess with US players as "non-threats", so having more numbers to pull from is kinda needed. Also, if you ask anyone who has played in the first 2, they will tell you that this is much more of a "character based" game then Breedland. The players, especialy on the FF side, are highly encouraged to be silly and get into character. Kit-Kat and Mt. Dew bribes go a long way in Shootabunch.
There will be speciffic rules to address "prisoner taking" and "searching" that will go out to the team leaders as we get closer.

Looks like I'll be bringing a pretty good sized squad in. Some new players using our equipment, should be a good intro. As long as the same group registration form that I used for Breedland works, we'll be good to go.

It is a different form. 10 players to a squad. Please message taskforcedelta@live.com for a copy.

Gents,
Just want to put this out there for those who are waiting for firm "go" / "no go" status from their players... Get the group form now. That way you know what info you need from your players before you as them if they are going.
I know there are some teams out there who have said "once we get the head count, we will get the form and fill it out". The problem with that is then you have to wait for your players to give you the correct info to fill out the form and you may miss the deadline.
Just my $.02 so you dont wind up signing up as individuals and wind up split up.

13 Jul 10, 12:25 AM
Reminder,
Group registrations are due July 15th. After that, we will be taking individual registrations and will not be taking requests on squad placement.
Payments are due by July 22. After that, anyone signing up will have to pay full price.
If you want to play as a group with your friends, you have 2 more days to get a group registration form submitted. After that, you will have to sign up and hope you know people in your squad.

For those who used the group registration and signed up correctly, THANK YOU!
We are going to extend group registration... While I personaly can't stand bending rules, I realize that some did not see there was a deadline and while perhaps some could have paid more attention, I also know it is summer and people usualy have a lot going on. GROUP REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!!! After that, anyone wishing to attend will have to do so via individual registration. Keep in mind, if you do not sign up by the group registration meathod, you probibly will not be squaded with your friends. The group registration meathod was created so that we could group you together. If you sign up as an individual, you will be placed where you are needed.
PAYMENTS ARE DUE JULY 22nd! After that you will have to pay full price.
Individual registration starts NOW!
We will take walk-on players the day of, however, those wishing to walk on will be subject to the possibility of not playing the side (US/FF) that they want. Players who do not sign up and pay via the website before July 22 should bring the proper uniforms to play either side and get to registration at the field EARLY so that we can assign you to a side. If you show up expecting to play a side that is full and do not have the uniform to play the other side, you have to switch with someone, come up with the correct uniform somehow or you will not play. We are giving you the chance to lock yourself into the side you want NOW so don't say it isn't fair if you don't get what you want. A fair is somewhere you ride the ferris wheel, it has nothing to do with registering for airsoft.
Access to the private event forums will ONLY be granted to registered and paid players.
Registration information is located on the website, in my sig line.

With pre-registration now closed to the lowered price, we find that 66% of the registrations so far are for the FF side. That being said, I am extending registration FOR U.S. SIDE ONLY another few days, to pad the US numbers.
Players wishing to play the US side may still sign up until I get more even numbers. Once those numbers are reached, we will be closing registration until game day.
What this means is that anyone who does not sign up by the on-line meathod risks showing up game day and not getting on the side they want.

Well, with US registration lacking, we are going to do something rare for TFD events and relax (a little) the uniform requirements for US side, in hopes that it helps some with their desire to play on that side.
US players may wear the following uniforms: 3-color Desert, Desert "Chocolate chip" or we are adding Woodland.
FF players uniform is of no change, solid colors only.
Also, we are going to allow players to sign up for the next two weeks at $40 for non-WAA members and $35 for WAA Members. This lowered rate expires on 08-14-10. Anyone who does not register AND PAY before Aug 14th will have to show up game day and pay full price, $50.
Reminder, admittion also gives you access to the night games, to be held from 6pm till Midnight on Sat.
Forums should be up soon. Sorry for the delay.

There is only one "woodland". Other cammo paterns are "digital woodland" or the like. We are talking about good ol' 1978-1997 GI issue woodland.

Rosters will be posted today. Anyone who has not submited payment isn't on it. We are well past the original deadline and we were more then patient.
Players can still sign up at a intermediate price. Aug 14th, the price goes to $50 and no more on-line payments or registrations will be accepted.
Currently there are only two infantry squads of US players, the US S.F. squad and four for FF squads. As such, we are still not taking FF registrations, but anyone who wants to get on a waiting list can.
If you intend on registering and paying on line, do NOT wait until the day you intend to pay to set up a Paypal. Do it now so you have time to pay before the 14th. Every event I wind up getting e-mails the day payment is due, from people who are asking for "more time". If you do not get the payment to us by the 14th, you will have to pay full price. THis is simply because we need time to send the payment from Paypal to the bank and get it deposited so that our bills are paid before you pull triggers on field.
Also, dont forget about the night games... Several of us from TFD plan on playing and the night games are free, Sat night, for those signed up and paid for the event.

Event Forums are up. Please make sure you register on them using the same callsign you provided in your registration. Forums are for registered AND paid players only. Anyone attempting to access the forums who is not a registered and paid player will be removed from the site.
Anyone who attempts to access the other team's private forum to "spy" will be banned from the event.

Today is the LAST DAY of on-line registration and payment. After today, players who still wish to attend will have to show up with both uniforms and hope to get onto the side they want. Requests for sides will be taken on a first come - first serve basis and all walk-on players will have to pay the $50 rate.

Batman, I have heard that there will be an AEC at roundup, but as of yet, I have found nothing that says so on the forums. I might come if there is an AEC. I just got off work yesterday (which requires me to live at my workplace with no internet access) and I'm reconnecting to the world. Can you clarify on this issue?
Thanks,

Arrrgg! This is so confusing!!! So they would run an AEC at your event without you knowing?
Not speaking on behalf of the WAA, but if the association decides to run an AEC before TFDs event, and APOC agrees, then yes they very well could run one without TFD knowing. Usually TFD knows, but the one person that will be able to answer your question fully would be the president of the association.

KRICHEN,
The AEC is run, independantly, by the WAA. Though they tend to run the AECs on the same weekends as local events (to help those who need to take the AEC to play), they are not affiliated with TFD and therefore their schedule is not something we keep track of.
I would assume that the WAA is planning on holding an AEC on Sat, but that would only be an assumption and I do not bank on assumptions so, I do not know.
Usualy there is some form of post about it by now but I have heard and seen nothing.

WOODLAND IS ALSO ACCEPTABLE FOR US PLAYERS.
Note: I did NOT say digital, marpat, ACU, ect. Good ol' US issue for the last few decades woodland.
For those who failed to plan ahead, we will not be bending the rules any further then we already have.
This will also be the LAST game I EVER host for players under 18 years of age.

Additional,
we are about 24 hours from check in. I will not be answering PMs after about 4pm today and I will NOT answer questions about what is or is not allowed, that are already covered in the rules. Read what has been provided. If you still have a question after that, feel free to ask but I will not be spending time answering questions that are already answered just because some would rather ask then read & know the rules.

Thanks to Batman, Paul, Dave, all of APOC staff and the TFD guys...another great event!!!
Hey guys...me and James had a very good time at the OP. There was unexpected pyro, bunches of belligerent locals and lots of shooting. At first the ROE caused many US force's casualties but after lunch the ROE changed and the real fighting began. Not to say the early part wasn't fun it's just that there were only small firefights early on and the real battles ensued in the afternoon.
So, all in all it was a good game even with some poor playing (not calling hits and close fire) that occurred.
Bear and Archos (yeah, figured out yer name again with a tad help)...great to see you guys again, back and safe.
Always great to see you Ronan and nice to meet yer friends as well as run with some new guys...Sheets, Augs, uh Mike?, etc. Yes you too Razor ;)
Almost forgot...nice work on the APC...that was fun with the gate dropping, etc.
