A day to remember!
For those that make it out to this event it will be one of
the events that will not be forgotten. There will be
camping and night attacks on the 13th. On the 14th we
will kick off the full blown invasion!
People can start arriving at 6:00 P.M. Every one will be allowed to
check out the course in the day light and start a few skirmishers.
Just after dusk we will have some night attacks with fire works and
pop ups. Prior to the Invasion on the 14th we will have a costume
contest for the most realistic/best uniform for the scenario, which
prizes will be given out!
Advance Registration is $25 and closes Aug 8th
Walk on price is $35

Just letting every one know that all the advance registration goes directly into the event. For Omaha beach that is were most of it goes into the field. Not only that but you save your self like $10 at the same time. It is a win win situation for the player to advance register if you are already planning on going.
This year specifically a lot of the advance registration is going into the urban course. We have already started picking up building supplies. My goal is to put up a building a week all the way up to Omaha Beach. This will make a dramatic change and addition to the event. For every one that comes out to open plays it will add a lot to your experiences there as well. I am also looking at adding and making some changes to the "beach" as well.
We had 152 players out at Military Games. Omaha beach has been my biggest event of the year over the years. The night games are truly some thing you will probably never experience in air soft out side of Combat Paintballs events. The Pop ups, Mortar Fireworks, Smoke, flairs, Air Cannons, take things to a whole nother level. Not only that the way the Omaha Beach is set up there is not a lot of Over head that block out the effects that the Mortars and flairs produce. I already have over 350 mortar burst just for the airlift Omaha beach. This does not include pop ups and every thing else.
The day game. Lets just say come prepared for a long hard battle. There is such a diverse environment that you will have to fight threw as americans and hold and defend as Germans. FIrst you will have to fight to get a hold on the beach. (the junk Yard) You will then have to take the supporting ridge line. This is probably one of the hardest task of the day. This ridge is no joke and is well fortified. Once a foothold is made on the ridge you will have to fight along the bunkers taking the rest of the ridge line. After that you hit a bombed out woods with diverse terrain and Huge down trees. You will then find your self battling it out in the town but that is not it. You will then have to enter a woods that has a creek flowing threw it and the German base established on the other side.
Respons are constant for this event. Respon points are exist and are moved accordingly to Objectives that Americans have taken. This allows players to not have to walk so much just to respond and or get back into the fight. Players are able to go onto the field and off as they wish. Be it just for a break, to eat or even leave the field for what ever reason and come back on as they wish. They just have to go to a respon point to come back in the game.

For anyone who may be on the fence about this game, I highly recommend going to it. I unfortunately had to miss it last year, and wish I hadn't. The year before that however, this was an awesome game, and I had a lot of fun playing in it. The games at this field have been getting better and better as time goes on, and he is not lying when he says that the money for registrations goes right into the field. There always seems to be a new addition to the field every time you play:). Most recently is a new CTF course.
Are there any MAgazine/Gear Restrictions to this other than the obligitory FPS limits?

I am super excited for this event!! I will certainly be there!! Hoping +1.
What time can we show up Friday? I know I would like to be able to set up a tent and still be able to play at 6.
For the evening and mornings will you allow camp fires? Is there running water avail? Maybe a garden hose?
I think that is all for now...
Thanks

Only gear restrictions are full seal goggles around the eye area, no shop or safety glasses that do not provide a full seal. As well as proper safety ratting. So standard ski goggles or sun/wind/dust goggles do not work.
Teams will be identified as arm band/non armband.

Finally After getting some good sleep...finally getting caught up with all the clean up...well just about I am finally getting to my post on the event. All I can say is that I have so much to be thankful and Grateful for. The sportsmanship was awesome. The stand up play was outstanding. Something I need to in force and get on on the paintball side a bit. I will say this that this is the greatest enjoyment and feel good feeling after doing an event and why I try so hard to bring the same thing to every event. Is you guys. Your attitudes, and appreciation of not only the event, the field, but the players and everything. The level of respect was great. I cant say enough how happy and appreciative of you guys (the players) I am. I look so forward to the years to come and events to come because of you. I am determined to maintain this type of environment at all my events and open plays. I appreciate the fact that so many stand by me and support me on this. It really does make the over all experience of things so many times better for every one. You Players deserve that when you come out. I will not sacrifice the types of sportsman ship and players I get for more numbers or more business. It only makes me want to quit what I do as there is no enjoyment out of that.
So thanks so much to every one of you. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.
I did have record numbers for this event. Not sure how many as I have not done the count. But they were not over the 152 record that Military Games had as an overall record for any event. But did have over 100
Not only that but I consider both my events Military Games, and Omaha beach a great success on the airlift side. I was able to not just break even but make some money to put back into the field (aside from what I got done with advance Registration) But a success on the player side.
I did not have to remove any players from the event. I had Zero sportsmanship issues I had to deal with. I had zero players not calling there hits that I had to deal with ( meaning you players or the refs were able to handle things if it was happening and was not brought to my attention. ) I think I had zero complaints about the event. (other than respond miss understanding between players, refs and such.) that was handled. How ever feel free to send constuctive criticism threw PM if you have any.
Not only that but the whole weekend was a success business wise for me. In the past many of the events were the air soft was hurting the paintball helped financially. Or if the paintball side hurt the air soft picked up. It also helped the weather was decent for most of the whole weekend were as weather usually kills attendance levels for one or the other more so than anything else.
I know I would not be at were I am if it was not for you players. It is so good to see players out there that I have seen for years and to see a grin from ear to ear each time because they are having such a blast.
Love you guys!
