Ok, so I purchased the G-conversion kit to get my KAR 98 down to acceptable field velocities, and as I was removing the front part of the bolt, a spring(1/2 inch) and a ball bearing(4mm) flew out. I looked at where they flew out of, and I can't figure out how they were positioned before.

The gun fires correctly without any problems, so Im guessing these parts play a minor role in it's operation. I'm pretty sure the ball bearing prevents the front end of the bolt from rotating when you remove it from the gun, but it would need a spring to function correctly(no, the 1/2 inch spring is too big to fill this role). And I have no idea what the large spring does. If anyone is knowledgable on Tanaka gas systems, please speak up.

Thanks
