The newspaper ran a story on me. A few of you emailed me and asked since you had heard about it, so I thought I would post it here thinking some of you might find it interesting.
It was pretty cool. so if you are interested, here it is.....
Newspaper article pt. 1 (http://www.totalforceairsoft.com/newpaperpt1new.JPG)
Newspaper article pt. 2 (http://www.totalforceairsoft.com/newspaperpt2new.JPG)
Now you all know what I do for a living. :P
It ran in the Herald Times Reporter in Manitowoc County. The posted the article on the front page of the Sunday paper Oct 30, 2005.
AE press picked up the story and it ran in various papers across the US. I was shocked when I woke up to find emails from people that I know in other states that read it in their paper. They also ran the article on wisinfo.com.
I was pretty happy with it. Color pics even. WOOHOO!
Autographs later please, lol.
Like most "press" it wasn't entirely accurate,. the reporter and I were talking about different hobbies and we talked about airsoft since he had saw the Ch.5 news spot. I had told him I was in airsoft since 1994 then I sold it for a time. He got that to mean I sold airsoft since '94. But oh well, it was cool all the same.

Cool article.
Congratulations.
Model cars, airsoft guns, arcade machines in the basement..... I'm jealous. All I got in my basement is old Hannukah decorations.
Good article. My wife is going to be jealous when she finds out you know Chip Foose. She's a big fan.

That's some cool crabcakes NS.
If you ever start building custom motorcycles, let me know if you get to meet Jessie James. Because if you do, I'm coming along. :)
BTW, I checked out your website, some pretty badass cars on there. Good work man.

Kudos!
Congrats, NS. Hope things continue to go well for you. Always nice to see a grown man refusing to grow up. :D Makes it easier for the rest of us to do the same.
YEAH!!... WELL!!... I've been in the paper before too...
Once, when I was a kid I was on the front page of the local N.P. having a leave fight at recess. There were a couple other kids in the picture too but they were mostly obscured by gobbs of leaves.
The 2nd (& only other time I know of) time I was in the paper it was for beating the CRAP out of a bunch of frat-boys from the Sigma-Chi (sp) frat.
7 of us (2 of wich were girls) & 50-60 of them & 5 or 6 of them whent to the hospital. 6 of us whent to jail.
So nothing that cool.
Congrats Chris.

Pyrokid... Stupidass kid!
Edit- Pyro did PM me and apologize, and I told him maybe he should post that in the thread instead of just giving the apology in PMs.
I don't see anything wrong with making a living off of one of your hobbies. I mean, how many airsoft reatilers do the exact same thing? If you enjoy something enough to make a career out of it, more power to ya.
Wow Pyro, slam NS, apologize to him and delete the message befor too many people can see it.
Let me spell something out for you:
NS was featured in a newspaper article. NS has many friends on the WAA boards (besides being one of the founding members of an orginization that provides you with the boards you love to talk crabcakes on) and thought that they might like to read the article. Which from the responses he has gotten, people indeed were interested. But alas, you felt it neccesary to post some crabcakes and then privately retract but never bothered to let people publicly know that you were wrong in what you said. Real mature.
Please note that I have been nice in my statement, rather than being rude.
Because I could have called you a b!tch, an asshole or an ass licking douche bag, but I didn't.
"Find something you love doing, then find a way to get paid for it."
Exactly what he did. Multiple times! Hoorah!

Thanks for the comments guys. It is a lot of fun, but it takes up a lot of my free time. But in the long run it is worth it by a long shot. Back in July I was flown down to San Antonio, TX for a Diecast show. They "comped" me my room and expenses to give a dinner presentation and sign autographs. Talk about something you are not prepared for. I mean with airsoft, a lot of us think we are big sheits, but we are all just funnin' around with that. But it is something that you cannot explain when people come up and ask for your autograph. It is a heck of an ego booster beyond anything you can imagine. If that is what it feels like to be a celebrity every day,.. YES! I will take it. If anyone is interested, you can see a crap load of pics at my site http://www.nightstalkercustoms.com

goddam kids and your hip hop

I got comped a room in Vegas one time, but oddly enough they chased me out of the Hotel when they realized that I wasn't the tour manager for Limp Bizkit. But i still had a fun time for those 3 or so hours. :)
I would like to apologise(sp) to night stalker, i was just in a bad mood when i posted it and i deleted the post like 3 hours latter, we all have bad days.
and i in now way was saying that his job/hobby was stupid, i think it would be cool to make car for Hot Wheels, and to meet Chip Foose.

The MAd MAx cars started as regular Hotwheels about 2.5" long.
I do love the VWs. The VW bus that I like to do is worth the most. I can do those and sell them for $150+ EASY MONEY BABY! lol
