View Full Version : EBB velocity upgrade?

I've had a TM M92F since early May, it was awesome at first but now bores me to hell. With the TM hopup .12s can easily go upwards of 75 feet, problem is your not going to feel it from that distance.

I was thinking of adding a spacer to the spring, the guy from unconventional airsoft used a 7mm spacer, and his gun only lasted 15 shots, so i was thinking something like a 3-4 mm spacer, enough to probably keep it alive for quite a bit, and to possibly upgrade the FPS to a respectible level?

Has anyone ever tried anything like this before or know what kind of results from the stock 120 fps i will get with a 3-4 mm spacer?

Or I could buy a $9 UHC 1911 or something and just put the spring from that into the gun, although I'm not even sure if an EBB could handle a 200 fps spring...

Buy a gas gun.

No it could not.

EBB's are poo.

There's nothing you can do to get the velocity up to a "respectable" level.

At least nothing worth the time, energy, & money it would require.

even though I don't have one, I must agree with JJ my glock saved my butt on so many occasions during BHD it wasn't funny. Especially to the four people I kept pinned down with it, and eventually took two of them out ^^

The easiest way to get a reliable Velocity Upgrade from your EBBB is to throw it from a moving vehicle.

If you want to enhance performance, find a way to disable the blowback feature. That is what is eating up alot of the performace in the first place.

Secondly, any modification you do to the gun will also be the death of it, shortly thereafter. I would strongly urge you not to do anything with it, and instead, look for an inexpensive NBB. You can always get a few bucks selling your EBB if it is functional.

Bottom line: In airsoft, Buying cheap means you will eventually pay more and end up with less.

Texx I have a TM combat delta and i have done just that (remove the blowback that is). it is fairly easy to do though i haven't done it in a while so i would have to try it on my gun first to give real detailed instructions on how to do it. the cool thing is that if you do it you can always return it to stock (you can make it EBB again all you need is a screwdriver or two and a needle nose pliers or forceps if you have them) and when you do disable it the gun becomes FULL AUTO. :D

:] The following instuctions are for the TM Combat Delta EBB though the basic concept is true for all semi auto Tm blowbacks (not sure about the G18c because it is already full auto):

1.To do it, you have to remove the grips and the fake saftey slide stops (screwdriver needed).

2.From here you have to "peel" the slide off of the frame (a small bladed screwdriver comes in handy here).

3.Now once the slide is out of its groves you'll notice you can't pull the slide away from the gun very far as a spring is holding the slide to a "strip" on the left side of the gun. this strip was hidden under the slide when it was on the gun but this strip is the piece you need to take out to prevent the slide from working and making the gun full auto,

4. to remove it use your needle nose pliers to remove the spring from the loop at the barrel end of the strip. Pull the slide off of the gun.

5. now all you have to do is pull the little strip out (much easier without the slide and spring in the way) and take the spring off the slide (attached by going around a small nub molded into the slide).

6. Now put the slide back on the gun (don't forget the spring on the guide rod or you will have the slide moving back and forth on you all the time) then the fake safety and slide stop ending with the reinstalling of the grips. if you did it correctly you should now have a full auto ENBB. ;)

This kind of redeems the gun for its despicable fps rating and makes it somewhat usable in a CQB situation. though if you were to do so you would need ALOT of magazines as the stock strip magazine only holds 16 rds. So I eventually made a hi-cap mag for mine by drilling out the bottom of the mag and glueing a M1A1 mag (i suggest a 190 as it is quite a bit shorter than the 420) to the bottom with it feeding into the bottom of the stock magazine.

What you are left with is a 190rd, full auto, 120 fps pistol for about 70$ if you buy the stuff you would need in the right places. If your good with your hands I suggest giving it a try but be WARNED, you can ruin your gun doing this and i suggest you think long and hard before trying any of this, its your choice and i will not be held responsible if it dosen't come out like you wanted .

Have fun. :)

Yeah, my EBB is still and great shape and I still have all the box/paperwork, if it sold on eBay I would probably almost have enough to get the UHC USP NBB.

thats actually doubtful. market price for a EBB pistol on ebay isnt very high, unless you falsely advertise. a brand new one goes for about 25 bucks + ship on average. And also on the average, a brand new UHC USP NBB costs about 47 dollars shipped to you. And to be honest, UHC su u u ucks.

Yeah, i got mine off eBay for like $25.99 +$12 shipping, or something like that. Maybe as a sidearm a TM HGHU springer for about the same price as an EBB wouldn't be to bad.

Don't gas guns not work to well in like under 50 degree weather (ie: 5 months, here in Wisconsin), though?
