I personally find it really anoying that when you search threads via the New Posts search, all kind of polls come up that have not even been commented on. Is there a way that that could be switched and not bump the threads when you vote?
just a suggestion!

Nothing can be done short of locking the threads, voting is just like making a post on that thread.

I agree with you, it is rather annoying to see that there is a new post yet theres not. People just have to stop voting on dead threads.

The best method is to enforce a time limit on the life of the poll. IF a poll is done in Jan 2007 about 'what am best gun', it probably doesnt make a valid input to answer it in Oct 2008

whatever it is, i think that somthing should be done to restrict old poll threads to be reserected!

Or, you know, people could stop using the stupid things and ask for actual advice ;).

Not trying to bring an old post back but...
on GaryB's WGF forum you can preset a ending time for a poll.
is that possible here?

I believe that you can. Only difference, most people don't.
