View Full Version : I have another Idea...

I've got another idea and I hope this one doesn't suck. It would take place in Chernobyl. The terrorists (Al-Qaeda, Jihad, extremist Russians, I can't decide) are trying to gather nuclear materials left over from the accident in Chernobyl to use against their enemy nations or to be sold to other terrorist organizations. The allies (US, UN, the good Russians, etc.) are trying to gather the leftover nuclear materials to later be put in storage or be disposed of so terrorists can't get them. Also to add to the theme of Chernobyl, there would be random pockets of radiation (marked off by flags or signs), if you are in one of these radioactive areas for a certain amount of time, you're dead. People who come to this game with gas masks or fallout masks will be able to be in the radioactive areas for a longer period of time unlike those without said masks. There would be an odd number of nuclear materials (so there can't be a tie) scattered throughout the field, they would look like boxes with radioactive and/or biohazard warnings on them and what you do is take them to some designated area where they will be gaurded and counted, you can also steal from these said stockpiles. The team with the most nuclear materials at the end of the game wins.

Also maybe there is a way to make the boxes of nuclear materials heavy because there might be depleted uranium in it and it make it harder to take the boxes to the stockpiles, preventing the game from being too easy.

Though the back-story is different, this sounds an awfull lot like Operation Round-up II, in which nuke devices were scattered & had to be recovered by both teams. The devices were equiped with counters that measured the turbulance that each encountered (pedometers) and would "go off" if they racked up too much. The devices also could not be brought within 200 feet of eachother or they would melt down... Which ment that the teams had to locate all of them before moving any, or they ran the risk of transporting them too closly together.

Only the EOD team, equiped with instruction manuals & tools to load each devices shielding, could make the weapons safe to be within the 200 feet of eachother.

Sorry, I didn't mean to copy anything. It's just an Idea that came to me.

No prob man. With all the ideas that are used every weekend, from field to field, it's hard not to wind up overlaping some ideas.

However, I still want more opinions. How does this sound and what can be changed to improve it without changing the overall theme (theme as in fallout masks and Chernobyl)?

As a safety issue, you'd have to verify whether or not the gas mask lenses are up to snuff against BBs. From what I've read, most are not.

What about military surplus boxes as the nuke boxes. I have one (that cant be used) that is like 3'x3' cubed and is built like a friggin tank. I store pictures in it and they have been there for like 20 years(shows integrity of the box for strength and the seal of it) and its like 200lbs. You get one of those to weigh about 100-150lbs and have 2 people carrying it, it would make for slow movement but would be better overall considering it would cause more ambushes or engagements on the way to the safe zone.

Just an idea instead of a bunch of little boxes only a couple big boxes that even if they were dropped for instance it wouldnt hurt the investment of the box.

And, im not even sure if you can get them anymore as a civi. My mother got it when she was in the Marines.

And, my take on a scenario for a couple nuke boxes, say you have a castle or fort or CQB arena, you would need to heist them from a compound, and move from their while still guarding it from ending up in or back into the opposing force. Dang, i got so many ideas i should be Tom Clancy, but im not gonna write anything else down here or vivid since you started with your ideas! Cheers!

Or maybe i should lay off the liquor.

3M makes ANZI rated face shields for most common gas masks.... Expencive though.

My Dept issue mask has one, but I would hate to have had to pay for it myself.

That's kind of what I was talking about. Also to add more realism, all the radioactive and biohazard warnings would be written in Russian (if anyone can figure out how).

Yes, but this idea didn't come to me playing or thinking of it though. Not video game addict here(not that I feel accused or anything).

you could always cut out the lence and fix to/where goggles over the masks
