AAR WGR "fallen angel: dragon rising"

well i had fun for sure =) lots of fun along the creek(the beach head) so it was a front line type game...the chinese(sp?) took over half of the field for a while...then traded D tower for hotel.


i have been waiting but no one has made a AAR on this forum, and gary has yet to say who won:D

The Results of the Battle:
The Chinese held the Treasury money at the end of the Day plus their brdgehead at Fort E. Casualties for the day were 283.
The Formosan Forces with Allies took 8 Flags from the Chinese, took 267 Casualties for the Day.
The Formosan Military ended the battle with a slight victory, however the Chinese did get a small foot hold on the Island.

I had a great time being a merc, and it was a pleasure getting to play with Daemondog again. I always learn great stuff from him. Because the medic rules allowed for some fast respawns, there was plenty of action, and the various forts changed hands several times throughout the day. The best part had to be seeing Green Ghost covered in mud from head to toe after literally low crawling in the creek from fort F to fort 3. That guy is crazy.

One reminder to everyone: Gary has gone completely to full seal goggles. One or two people showed up with shop type glasses. Even though they may have been ANSI rated, they were not full seal and could not be used. If you do not have full seal goggles, you better get them. I know all the fields I play at now require them.

I had a great time, being on the Chinese team was fun and really hard, I did like my last stand at the hotel ;D held that thing for about 5-10 minuets by myself, the best part was when about 5 guys ran in and thought they had it but I just ran out the other side and came in through the east side and bang killed them all.

What I didn't like was the phase attack, it kinda kept us bottle necked in the field and there was no way to advance.

yah for a while there we where stuck but when the line was broken(thanks to the airstike) it started going faster;)

i liked the secound phase the most....lost of fighting along the creek/beach head

So does anybody have any pictures to share? I saw a few people wandering around with cameras, mainly the "CNN guy" out on the field. Just wondering.
