Thank you to Gary first of all for the field and game concept. After all the rain we had gotten the field was flooded past fort 6, but that didnt stop us from having fun. There were enough people there to have at least 4 teams of 5 -6 guys. I had a great time as a trader. At the end of the day 2 teams had at least 23 credits each, which indicated most of those players stuck with pistols and shotties and only bought regens. The highlight of my day was getting a bang kill with my minigun!! I toated that beast around for most of the day, and am feeling it today. To anyone in attendence with a camera, if you have still photos and/or video of the minigun in action please email a copy to me at cgardner2@wi.rr.com at your earliest convenience. Thanks again Gary and to all that made this event a success.

Thanks to all the players, the traders, and Gary for making this game very enjoyable. The scenario worked very well, and was the perfect excuse for me to use my pistols. It played out as a unique and memorable experience.
The relatively small turnout was somewhat unfortunate, but I think it worked out to the game's advantage. Teams weren't constantly stepping on each other's toes; the few encounters we had were tense but remained civil. The traders definitely created an ominous aura over the field, and our team generally did what we could to avoid them. I like how Maus and Dover took two different approaches to the role: one maintained a commanding presence in the open field (MINIGUN!!!!), while the other would sneak up behind you out of nowhere. All of the traders played the part very well, and approaching them even on friendly terms required trepidation.
I really liked the ammo/weapon restrictions. I don't think I fired a single shot in the first hour or so, and maybe only 60 rounds for the day. I'm still a little iffy on the .12s though. I understand why it was done, but I'm not fond of the risk associated with using potentially lessor quality BBs in my guns. I personally think .20g BBs are still "primitive" enough, but if I could suggest an alternative solution, maybe give the players a choice: 100 rounds of .12s, 75 rounds of .20s, or 50 rounds of .25s.
The field was a little soggy, but not bad all things considered; the bugs weren't terrible either. The weather was nice, but the heat, humidity and constant movement between credit stashes definitely wore me out.
Again, all in all I had a fantastic time.
