Depot 53 and Airsoft GI have 'em. I was thinking about maybe giving one a shot but wanted to get some opinions as I have never used an airsoft 203 shell/grenade.

I've played with some shells before and they kick ass! Only thing about the launcher less one that I think is...

Figure you want to use it and you have a silencer on your weapon? What are your options?
A. Screw off the silencer and screw on the flash hider that you have to use for the launcher less nade
B. Use nades w/o a lancher and just use your finger to push the button
C. Dont' use them and throw a whole bunch of bbs at the person
D. Don't have any other flash hider/silencer on your gun and just use what flash hider is provided for you for your guns look from now on.

Your choice, just try to figure in the flash hider that you have to use. It might become troublesome.

think of it this way RTO, if you want to have a "Pretty" flash hider, be my guest...if i go and get this launcher less shell, it wont matter what your gun looks like when there's a ____ load of BB's headed your way....

on the flip side, i personally love silencers so i would just stick with a launcher...but if you want the launcherless one, i wont judge you, ill just shoot you first on the feild...LOL

i have the launcherless one, as far as i can tell, they took one of their standard 108 rnd grenades and replaced the bottom, they also are coming out with a foam dart rg. im not sure but maybe i could even interchange a different madbull gren with the base of the rg108. Doestnt really matter, 108 rnds is just perfect. I cant wait to skirm with it. Only problem i forsee is im getting a g&g socom16 and it has a non-removable flash hider, so i'll have to moddify it somehow. probably just weld some 14mm thread on so i can also screw on a silencer if i want. In the end, if u are looking for functionality over looks, the rg108 is perfect, its 65 bux and your done. whereas with the cooler looking grenade launchers your out 200 plus bucks when its all done. I personally find rifle mounted grenades to be very cool. The only problem is that you cant walk around with both the ability to grenade and to fire your rifle, however i've never seen a grenade used in a non-premeditated situation

P.s. i stuck the rg108 on my yugo sks (which has a nato rifle grenade launcher on it (yes yugoslavia played both sides in the cold war sks=soviet, launcher =nato spec). Its the exact diameter, although it obviously doesnt attach the way the real grenade would have.

The thing that doesn't set well with me is the concept of plugging your barrel with this thing and firing a BB to activate it. Whats to keep said BB from breaking on impact and having parts of it go back down your barrel? Perhaps it may be a little farfetched, but it doesn't seem an overly safe way to fire a moscart.

Why wouldn't you just use a regular launcher? Then you could use your AEG and your launcher simultaneously. This idea doesn't seem very....whats the word...intelligent?

good points all around. I'm not a big fan of the M4/M16 family. As a matter of fact I will probably be getting an M14 soon to compliment my 552. My 552 is keeping its silencer and the M203 probably wouldn't even fit on it and the M14, in my opinion, would look very strange with a 203 launcher mounted on it. I was just looking at alternative options than a full size launcher.

It is a good idea especially if you dont have a lot of money or your gun doesnt have a rail to mount a 203 on it. You can just take it out of your pocket, screw it on, and then blow them away.
