View Full Version : Blue Tint Glasses

So I've been looking for a new pair of glasses for use in airsoft and I'm wondering about the different colors and advantages the have.
I know yellow accent movement and bring things out to your eyes that they dont normally see. A lot of truck drives (i've been told) wear yellow tinted lenses because of that.

Obviously, dark tinted lenses mean that they are for use in high sunlight areas of operation.

Ok, fine, my main question is. I've been seeing some blue tinted lenses, and i'm wondering if anyone has played with them at all? Do they darken the filed of vision when there is low light or are they just as good as clear lenses?

Thanks for anyone that can help on this topic.

Well I have blue tinted sunglasses, and it seems when I wear them everything is just smushed together making things hard to distinguish between things, and it doesn't accent movements as far as I can tell, nothing like my shooting glasses.

I wear Rose baby, makes the greens pop, and I can sing my favorite song... Rose colored glasses.

... riiiiiiiiiiigght... moving on.

So the blue tint is a no go as far as sha_king is concerned it looks like. Anyone else have imput. I think i'm going to go with either clear or yellow. Or does anyone know any problems w/ the yellow ones? So far I havn't had any.

i don't really see too many blue colored lenses, so i question their practicality.

I was reading somewher, maybe it was at Wiley X's website, that blue is suppose to bring out the greens and browns more.

Any validity to this?

I use green/yellow tint glasses when I go real steel shooting and they work well in most types of light. They cut down on glare on sunny days and actually make it easier to see at sundown. (After dark they are as useless as dark sunglasses at night)

So sundown they work nicely, but when night fall comes, switch to clear tint? Is that what your gettin at maple? Thanks BTW, that was pretty much what I was lookin for right there what you said.
