With out getting into too many details, this gun started life as a CYMA CM.028-S (AK47-S). The internal locking mechanism of the folding stock broke before I even got a chance to field it, so I was going to turn it into a project gun. I've since decided that I don't have the time, and that it would just be easier to buy the AK I want. In any case, here's the scoop on this sale:
CYMA AK47-S Beta hybrid - $50
Folding stock cut off at the body (illustrated below).
Tokyo Marui Beta front end (from where the hand guards start) and pistol grip.
Custom-cut (stock) inner barrel.
Plastic body.
Metal receiver cover, outer barrel, front sight, rear sight, flash suppressor, selector lever, trigger guard, trigger, mag release, and rear sling swivel.
Estimated to shoot between 240-300 fps.
The gearbox has never been opened.
Although it shoots very well and the hop-up works great, this gun does have one major "flaw": The CYMA hop-up unit is not TM-compatible. In other words, it doesn't accept standard inner barrels (hence the custom job), and it actually prevents the outer barrel from properly lining up with the forward receiver (illustrated below). The end result is that the whole front-end assembly can actually be slid off with nominal force. Really this gun could use a new hop-up.
I personally wouldn't be proud to call this gun the centerpiece of my collection, but I don't think it would serve you poorly as either a loaner, CQB, or project gun.
Included:
"custom" ;) CYMA AK47-S Beta hybrid
cheap vertical grip
semi-reliable (i.e. occasionally jams) metal standard magazine (either TM or G&P, I'm not sure)
original CM.028-S manual
original CM.028-S box
I accept Paypal, USPS money orders, or cash in hand. Shipping costs are extra.
I will not sell this gun to minors without first talking to their parent.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. More/better pictures are available upon request.
