Thanks for everyone coming out and playing in the first Op Plague event. We had 18 people show up and do some zombie survival games. It was a blast to watch and film; I should have a mini teaser video up tomorrow or Tuesday for those of you thinking about coming out to the 14th game. The weather was STUPIDLY hot which resulted in more painful welts than expected (it is supposed to be 60 degrees right now; plenty cool enough to double up on a long sleeve jacket and wear a full face balaclava) because some people chose to run with short sleeve shirts. These guys were real hardchargers; running headfirst into a wall of fire in order to attack the survivors. Lots of fun and we actually had a prize for every attending person, which was pretty cool!

Stay tuned for some video footage of what to expect this weekend... :-D

Had to take off at lunch, but the first half was great. nothing like firing into a mass of charging zombies.

Played the whole day and am feeling it today! Great game but cooler weather for the next one please. Had a blast running with team gopmat, thanks guys and gal. I think everyone went home with a welt or five from this game. Vedicardi with that kids helium balloon was the best portrayal of a zombie role I have ever seen.

Hell yea first game for me.I thought the game was great, except during phase 3 it think it was with the 2 army rangers. After that one dude got hit in the throat I think we all got a little bit more careful.Me and one other person kept wandering around for about 10 minutes until we seen the other zombies charging survivors at the house, which is when we arrived while they were falling over the barricades.

Phase 4 was the most fun in my opinion. Our 4 man team went out to find the stuff,we found everything except the keys.We headed out to the truck while our ranger stayed back with the chainsaw. When we did get to the truck we held out for a while until we sent someone out for the chainsaw because we thought the ranger was dead. After the person that went back for the chainsaw didnt come back we all went back to the house, which was when we found our ranger alive. That was the most suspensful part of the game I think.I thought Ryan(the cameraman,i think that was his name) did a good job playing that gen 2 zombie, which was awesome. He wouldnt die while we were holding the truck which is why we sent someone for the chainsaw. It was stupid hot out,I haven't sweat that much in a long ass time.

The last 10 minutes or so of gameplay was awesome.I thought the change from a 60 second zombie respawn to 3 seconds made the game intense. We had no problem holding them off for a while though(even with a 1 mag no reload rule),I was one of the last people with a gun with ammo. But thanks to the guys from minnesota for letting me use the FAMAS and the other guns.I'm glad the guy who was hit in the throat is still breathing.Being this my first game everyone was nice as hell.If i'm lucky I might be able to go to the second game(i'm confused though was that game for paintballers or airsofters?).That CAW grenade launcher was pretty cool.I'm pretty sure thats it for now though.

Lone Soldier,
The second game is at Apocalypse Paintball on the back half of the field, but it is for airsoft.

As for the throat shot, what happened sometimes was when zombies were running and jumping around a shot aimed for the chest would hit someone in the head (as their head dipped down while they were running or lurching). This guy happened to have a 3 round shotgun blast right to the adam's apple as his balaclava bounced up. I thought he was really hurt, but I talked to him and his step-dad (who was playing as well) and I guess he had injured his throat in the past and his adam's apple is super sensitive. Once in a lifetime shot with a TM shotgun, but their was no malicious intent with the shot... he simply ducked his head down right as the shot fired and a would-have-been chest hit ended up hitting him in the neck. He was fine and back to good spirits and racing around eating people in about 5 minutes. Sounds brutal, but the game went fairly smooth with few close range shots. Luckily the 14th is supposed to be about 65 degrees out which means the zombies can comfortably pad up in a few layers. Tons of fun; playtesting the Gen 2 zombie (couldn't run but had to be killed a certain way) was a blast... and tiring! :P

Yea we found we had to kill you in a certain way in last phase.I feel special that you tested the gen 2 zombie while we were survivors,it was alot of fun watchin you up against the riot sheild while we had 2 guys whacking you with the melee weapons.I shot you in the leg(tried at least)with the FAMAS to see if that would do anything. It didnt :D .Then while you were comin down the road towards us(at the truck) I noticed you were walking but never really wondered why(obviously we had guns but still).Finding out the ranger wasn't dead was awesome.

I also liked how jason changed that UTG shotgun into a slam fire shotgun so much,I made mine into one.Instead of opening it(either way I wouldnt have been able to open it,some screws were stripped),I used gorilla tape and pulled the trigger back and taped it.Then I sawed off the stock, which in my case is better because my mask wouldnt let me look through the sights of anything(rifles).

Hope to see that teaser up soon.
That game got me to start drinking that frost gatorade in the fridge :D
How many people do you think will show up to the next game on the 14th?

I was planning on going to both until a work project required me to work Sundays for 3 weeks straight.

I wish I could have made it.

On a related note, it would be nice if there were more Airsoft events on Saturdays. Just sayin'.;)

I guess I'll have to plan on the next one. Which will give me time to finish my foam weapon. I dub thee, "Whomper.":)

That is seriously an awesome video. Great job editing.

The event itself was very epic. It's two days later and my legs are still sore. Too bad there was so few people there.

I won't be able to make it on Sunday, or at least I don't think I will, so that kind of sucks, but it was still a fun game.

Yeah, that video was pretty damn cool.
I absolutely love how some of the players were getting involved enough in their roles to scream, throw themselves to the ground, and act out their deaths (or the devouring of flesh).

I wanted to be there so bad. Stupid employers and their stupid schedules... and stupid, uh... INFANTILE STUPIDS!>:(

hahaha, that video was awesome. Kudos to the organizers of the skirm and to all the players who participated. It looks like the zombies had as much fun as the survivors. I may be a mil-sim guy, but that looked pretty fun.
