Just wondering, how come some of you guys have low caps, and mid caps. It seems to me it would be better to have few magazines then to have like 15 on you.... like I said just wondering.

for alot of people it is a preference thing

others like MOST mp5 users use mids and standards because the hicap does not last a long time... we found out the hard way... still over all for most people it is preference

and of course there is the 400 fps rule so that plays into effect for some people

I happen to use low caps for the added Milsim of it. I also happen to like reloading. Also, why buy a super cool vest and have nothing to put in it. I will admit though that low caps will get you lit up real fast in the "Oh yeah, I have 400 rounds in my mag" atmosphere that is common airsoft.

I use mids because sometimes a highcap can unwind on you if you hold your gun sideways or some weird angle. Mids never miss a beat until they're empty...

When I run my M4 I carry 12 mids, 2 standards & 10 hi-caps.

I primarily use the mids, but sometimes the ____ hits the fan, and I need to put down a LOT of fire.

The standards, well those are my "OH ____!! I'm out of ammo, I gotta get the hell out of here." mags.

When I run my M14 (which is most of the time) I have 6 hi-caps...I'd get some standards or mids, but well...No one makes them yet.

i know one reason i hate high caps is because the sound of the BBs rattling around drizes me crazy

I by far prefer midcaps or standards. mainly because midcaps, wont unwind, are much quieter when stalking and they still carry a decent # of rounds.

I do enoy the p-90 highcaps though since they do not rattle since there is spring pressure on the bb's at all times. Some have said they had problems with them feeding, but i never did as long as I owned my P-90.

And yeah, like some others said, why buy a $50 tac vest if your not going to get some use out of it?

My opinion, whatever.

With my MP5, I use mainly hi-caps because mid-caps weren't around when I had it like 3 or 4 years ago and I never bothered to buy anymore mags for it because I never really burned through that much. Now I use mainly mids for my AK and a hi-cap. Like someone else said, all personal preference. The unwinding of the hicaps...for me at least...always happens at the worst times so thats why I swayed towards mids.

i'm going along with timmay.... i carry as much as possible (on my budget for airsoft of cousre). you never know when your going to be stuck in some situation and you need A LOT of ammo to get out of it... after all, whats a little bit of rattling going to hurt when it'll save your butt in a firefight... lol

hicaps all the way, maybe some mid caps if i run out though

i've been thinking about getting some star 30rd mags to get that milsim feel, but i dunno yet.. Kade kinda talked me out of it, maybe he just wants me to use up all my ammo saving his ass;)

I use Stars, and nothing but. I don't like mid caps, because they are a luck of the draw type item, I've owned about 10 midcaps so far, and about 6 of them actually worked, maybe 4 that worked well. I broke all of them in the same, but some just wouldn't work. I don't need that kind of reliability, and I hate high caps and paintsofting, so that leaves stars, which I find to be really nice, they are cheap (4-5 bucks a mag) realistic, and they allways feed.

i have only ever had experience with standards, and hi-caps..no mid-caps...but so far i havent a problem with either, i prefer the hi-caps over the standards in the heat of battle, but for a "local" skirm the standard works good, i mean i dont really need more than 70 bbs when im skirming with like 6 guys..but i still cary/ use the hi-cap because its sexy.

I know a guy (cough*perculator*cough) who only uses standards (i dont remeber if he had mid-caps or not, but im sure of the standards) because for him, it makes the game more realistic, after all, in real battle your not gonna have a MP-5 with a 200 round mag, or even an AK-47 with a 600 round mag....the standards (in his opinion) give a "realism to the game" that im sure all of us would agree makes the game just that much funner........however on the flip side, if you have an MP-5 with a 2500 round drum mag, or a AK-47 with like 5+ 600 round mags..you feel pretty, dare i say it...............powerful, intimidating, sexy, invulnerable, important, sexy, "unchalleneged", "overqualified", sexy, "pretty dam scary", sexy, etc..

Thats funny, iv never had ANY trouble with midcaps, they always seem to feed for me, as long as you lube em every now and then. I did have to stretch the spring on a couple of the Mp5 ones, but they seem to be just fine now. I have used them in alot of games and never had any feeding problems, Although StelthTurkey got some of those new cheap Midcaps for his sig 552. I guess he didn't have the best of luck with em as far as feeding problems go. So I would go with the more expensive midcaps.

Ya.

With my SR-16, i had 5 hicaps and 7 mid-caps. I usually started with my hi-caps and went to my mid caps.

Its all about the hunt, the prowl... If you have your sights trained on someone and you go to pull the trigger & "ZZZzzz," your mag unwinds... enjoy the shower! And when your walking, or running from someone and your mags are jingling and jangling, enjoy trying to take the stealth approach. And heck, my mids are semi clear so i can check and see how many rounds i have left.

actually my midcaps work just fine, i was just filling them over the limit... Its really dumb... Its says 120 rnd midcap, i can fit about maybe 200 rnds in them but they wont load w/ that much in them.

Right now i carry 6 G&P midcaps, and one hicap for my SR-16. The midcaps are nice, but i just kinda hate loading them. But its always fun reloading and not having to wind the mags. The hicap is nice cause i can fill it in a flash.

As far as my MP5 im just running hicaps cause im having a light loadout and i have limited pouches, and of course i dont feel like loading them.
