We had a smaller turnout for the AEC than before, but we (Sergeant Schultz and I) did end up getting 6 more people certified for the AEC... which is definitely not bad! The permanent AEC course at the Fairchild field has proven to be an amazing asset for an instructor, and moving students through it nice and easy. Congrats to the 6 people who took the course and thanks for taking the time to attend the WAA AEC!
After lunch, we tried out the zombie rules. It was cool seeing a couple of players who were "iffy" with the whole zombie game ending up enjoying it very much and having a blast. The bloody shirts really added to the theme and the 12 participants really helped me nail down some rules for the Op Plague series. It was quite fun keeping a zombie at bay with my riot shield while reaching for a foam sword and beating the snot out of them (with a moderate and not excessive amount of force, mind you) before other zombies joined in. The playtest was great and a TON of fun.
