Well let me start off buy saying this ws one of if not the best game I have ever been to. It ws planned great I think most people played fairly and even though there was some friendly at the end it was perfectly communicated. I think that for the OC's and professor to do this and make those sweet RPG's was so cool and thanks guys I meen planned very well.If there will be a BHD4 then you can put me on the list right now

It was pretty good, but I would have like less tower G and more of the bunker/hotel field.
The bunker/hotel field IMO is the best part of the land.
I liked the idea of the rocket launchers and stuff, but I think designated areas to shoot for the buildings to go down would be good like a bell.
the game went smoothly. I think everyone had fun. thanks go out to gary for the use of the field, and thanks go out to professor and the OC's for putting on another good, safe game. I esspecially liked the rpg and law launchers.

Well, despite the rain, alot of people showed up, I'd say around 70 or so. I had an awesome time, the rain didn't effect me much. I didn't shoot much, which is what I liked. The game did have a MILSIM effect to it, but wasn't extremely strict, but wasn't spraying and praying either. The OC's were careful not to get in the way. I noticed no safety issues that weren't dealt with. The only complain I have was the amount of friendly fire. Some people just saw tango's approaching, and yelled "HEY, people" and unloaded, only to hear "Hey, watch your fire, we're friendly." Best part of the game was the last scenario, when Professor yelled at least 3 times about going to 5, so after about 20 minutes of hearing it, Delta Detachment just walked over to 5. Sure enough, after yelling "identify" and 8 seconds later, we just shot. Then all we hear is "civilian" as we went to restrain them. Dover, who was still alive, said "well, your all dead" we all looked at each other, as he unzipped his vest, and C-4 appeared and we all went BOOM! We had a good laugh with Gary, Dover, RIOT, and Professor after that. Anyways, another great game hosted by Gary and his wife, and an awesome scenario by Professor. Thanks for the use of the field too. Wolfram made some sweet RPG's too, that added a cool element to the game, thanks! Thanks OC's. Had a good time at Greg's after the game too.

It was a great game. I didn't see any instances of people arguing over cheating, etc.... I didn't mind the rain that much either, and I REALLY liked the RPGs, good work on those!
Well, that's all I really got to say for now, what everyone else said pretty much sums it up....
Thanks Gary and Professor!

Thank you all for coming. I hurt so much I should have been playing...geeze, it's not eay running a game.
I sincerely hope everyone enjoyed it. A lot went into putting it together - I wanna thank Wolfram for the terrific launchers and putting a tsecond pair of eyes on the player Mission Statements and OC sheets, Zekko for working up the scenarios with me...oh, and walking all the way out to G all the time for placing the US, and Maus and Sigpro for also helping out OC. BTW, all your OCs were Echo Squadron members.
Thank you Gary for the use of your field again. I had a blast and think the game was a great success!
Thanks again to all who showed and outlasted the rain. If you weren't there...you definitely missed it if I say so myself. I'll post the final tally either tonight or tomorrow. Oh, and Sweinster...glad you liked the setup civilian masacre and suicide bomber ;)

I so wish I could've been there. Unfortunately 2 of my guys, and myself, came down with food poisoning last night, and our 4th guy didn't want to go without us.
Glad you guys all had fun and I hope to make the next one.

Lotsa walking, my feet still hurt!
I dunno about cheating per se, but I did spend about three minutes emptying a hicap at a guy hiding behind a bunker who was popping out and trying to pistol me. I only mention it because an OC came up to me after I ran out of ammo and told me that I had hit him multiple times, and I never heard a word from the player or saw a kill rag, he just ran away after a bit . . .
Oh yeah, sorry about the whole "You're wearing black so I got confused" thing, that was one of the reasons I posted
Yeah, odds are that a good part of N.A. will be wearing dark shirts (It just seems to work out that way . . . ), so try and make the distinctions as clear as possible.
several days ago. My only rain-resistant torso cover is black.
And, from the BHDIII website:
Taliban - These players should wear a combination of civilan clothing and combat gear. They are not to wear complete combat uniforms (i.e. one may wear a BDU top but not pants or BDU pants and not a uniform top. Also, all Taliban fighters will wear black watch caps or balaclavas.
Al Qeada - Al Qaeda players are to wear complete black outfits, both shirt and pants.
Northern Alliance - Norther alliance will dress similarly as the Taliban but not wear black caps.
As I was not wearing a "complete black outfits," and had my full head of hair quite visible, I'd like to say that, though I can understand how you might be confused, I made no error whatsoever.
Though I was with my team on N.A. for the whole game, I'd also like to add that it was an additional pleasure to spend a few minutes rolling with whoever the 3rd SF guys were.

Outstanding game, I loved the pace and the scenarios. Not too fast but not too slow. Thank you to all who donated to the raffle and congratulations on those who won! Everyone did a great job on all sides, it was never easy but I was never left alone nor saw many people who were. Thank you very much to the OC's, good safe clean game.
I had a blast even despite the water. Thanks Gary for the field.
Thanks

Great game everyone.
Thanks to Professor and his crew for running the game you all did a great job.
The official total was 74 people.
Thanks to all of the players, the weather wasn't as bad as I thought it might have been and no one melted, at least no one got over heated.
The new toys (LAWS, and RPG's) worked well, thanks wolfram for the work put into them, and thanks for the donation of one of the launhcers to the field, it will be used in the future.
I want to espically thank those that gave to the 82nd abn fund drive, I will be sending another check out to Ft Bragg this week.
I also want to Thank Depot 53, and Fidragon for the raffle prizes.

Some of my most memorable/favorite games were played under horrid conditions. One of which stands out now. The (I think) first overnight game at apoc.....years ago. I believe it was march. about 45-50degrees for the duration......and once again......misting-drisleing rain. Made for very real conditions.......

that is so true I meen for my two most memorable games endurance this year and BHD 3 were because of the rain it made for perfect cover while my stealth squad at endurance was sneaking and me and my friend killed so many guys due to the rain as cover. the rain was so together it was hard to see ahead of you and it was actually just mostly mist it made me and assault invisible in tall grass someone even stepped 2 feet from me and never even saw me (we shot him while he was heading back to his base)

Well I just have to say that I had a super time playing out there despite the rain. For some odd reason I only went threw 200 bbs at most when most of the time I go threw 2000-scrachin The best part was when I got to be a civ. We were just standing around and then look and see some US forces. We waved and then RAT-tat-tat-tat-tat bbs come flying in. Then they realized that we did not have guns and came up (they had killed one of us already) and there like what now? and Dover goes well your all dead. He had some C4 in his vest.
All in all it was a great game.
I was the NA guy in the Turban and had the FAMAS if any one wanted to know.

wow, i did lead the foces of evil to victory!!!!!
YES, THIS IS THE LEADER OS ALCADA WE KICKED BUTTS OF THOSE SLIMY US TROOPS AND WE KICKED YOU BUTT EVERYWHERE!!!!!!
hey prof....game two alcada did find the fob os the us..i called it in and made the comment that no one was home....it was tower g back in the counrer and i hated walking there and back to have nothing to do...sigh...
great game though despit the weather. the only thing that i have to say sucked, getting there a little late and haveing to scamble to get a game working since both my rifles broke, had to use pistols, and then did not once shoot anyone...sigh....that sucked.....
but i did kill everyone at tower 2 in the third game with a fe bang kills and then just blowing everyone up with all 3 suside charges....
by the way, those things where bloody heavy!!!!!!! i ened up carring all three in the third game and after a bit i was in no real mood for much...i sorry about yelling at the one guy in tower 2 in the third game though.
wet, tired, and very sore. i had very much had my tmeper cut short by then.
sorry about that who ever the us dude was.
the rpgs and laws where cool, never did get the chance to play with one though....
hightlights of the day....
game 2 getting a call about a weapons stash on the radio, asked to ask about it to oc... no one said anything about it, so i told the group put a rpg into it, and then calling it in and told it was one of ore things..opps...
same game running over the uav totaly by accitdent. then getting told where the us fob was and going to tower two and killing all the wounded us troops....evilgrin...we dont need prisonners...
getting some troops and walking forever to tower g and calling it and and finding no one home of us troops...
there was no base that i used this game i just made for getting the most firepower to get the things done that where needed.
game one....
i pretty much didnt see much at tower 2 since that was where we had stacked a base for the time being and not getting much done for other things that game. i sent teams out and only had one come back with no luck in thier mission. team 2 i never seen or heard back from....
game 3...
told what needed to do and told where the base was and watched everyone run off with out getting an idea of what was going on....so much for the sudice bomber thing though....i have a couple of guys that stuck with me but even that was not worried about that part of the game.
i think at one point one of the ocs brought up the tree bags for suidce charges and i lost everyone else and ended up at tower two and killed a couple of guys with bang kills and blew my self up...
game 4...we left, too sore tired and wett to stick around. also had to drive 2 hours south to get home to ILL.
gary, thanks for letting me bring my olds into the parking are by the tree, it was very easy to base there with 4 of us then walking things in from the road.
by the way, to everyone that played the bad guys, your cookies are in the mail for a job well done.....and pat yourself on the back...
i am not sure if i did the greatest job running alcidea but it was fun trying to at least. note to self..next time, kill everyone and get new army....
Not sure what the double post is about...
Anyways, thanks to everyone that braved the rain. Also, thanks go out to Professor for another job well done and gary B for the use of the field. I also want to thank the various companies that donated to raffle. I had a great time and look forward to next years. Maybe we can come up with a more original name for this operation next year.

My original response was much longer than this but something went wrong when I tried to post it and I am far to lazy to write it again. To summarize, although it was me that managed to sneak behind the enemy position, I would not have been able to do that without the rest of the taliban team attacking from the front. I didnt want to bang that many people but I didnt know what else to do. Delta didnt even know what the hell I was doing. Most just kind of sat there and looked at me like WTF! I was lucky enough to have a ref there to witness the whole thing and he agreed that it was the best thing to do. I cannot lie though, despite the fact that it was a result of teamwork, it felt damn good to take the credit for sooooo many bang kills all by myself. I'd like to think that it had something to do with my top secret ninja training.
