ok i feel retarted asking this. But i just got my first high end AEG Its a Classic Army M15 XM177. and the battery i got for it is a intellect 1200mah NIMH small type. i just can't get it to fit in the handguard did i get the wrong battery or am i just not doing it right. please help
Is it an 8.4 or a 9.6v... Does it fit in the handguard without the two being attached to the gun?

its a 8.4v it sits inside the handguard just fine
Couple of quick and easy checks.... Make sure your not pinching wires, make sure that the fuse is out of the way, and make sure your putting the hand guard on correctly (yes it's a dumb one, but I've seen people do it).
Double check the manual, they always tell you how to put the battery in the gun.
Other than that, how is it "not fitting"?

i've checked and made sure all wires and connectors are clear of the battery. the thing is when i put the handguard back on its like the battery is being wedged between the barrel and the hand guard. i've tried flipping it from front to back and turned the battery around. it just seems like the battery is just too thick. i know its not a large type battery because i have a gun that uses them. this battery is like half the size of a large type i got it from evike.com and i also sent them a email about the problem but theres a good chance they won't reply.

Try and see if you can turn the battery backwards so that the wires and battery are facing you. That way, you can position the wires so that they are out of the way and take up less space.

That could very well be the case. Next skirmish you are at, try finding someone who can help you out a little bit.
Not to make you feel bad, but honestly it could just be something simple that is in the way of the gun, or on the other hand it might be one of those freak batteries.
I have a Intellect 9.6v 1400 mAh battery that does run a hair thicker than a standard mini battery (not by length either).
Remove the inner "battery" plate to free up some room.

I don't knnow about removing the inner battery plate would that affect the barrel at all. i hope i will be at the airsoft battle in chatfield.

Nope. I removed my M4's when I had a custom battery built for it. It doesn't offer much extra room, but it your battery is only tight by a bit, it may help.

Get out the file or the sandpaper.
Shave a little bit of plastic off, and re-check for size.
This isn't all that uncommon. Hell, I had to file my PSG-1 for a good two an a half hours before my battery would fit.
If you're not feeling to comfortable with it, that is perfectly understandable.
However, if you gather up your chutzpah and go for it.. be very careful with it.

I will think about that for a little bit mirage. Its something that i don't want to do to my First CA gun but it just might be the thing needed to be done. If that made sense.

CA doesnt have a battery plate like a TM.
Try having it on 45deg angle so it sits on the side of the handguard between the barrel.
OR put on the lower handguard first, place the battery in, the when it fits(hopefully?) put the top back on.

My bad.
I haven't handled a CA M4 since I sold airsoft guns. And man did they suck back then. :D

I think i am going to send the battery back. i really don't feel very good about customizing my handguard. The battery i am looking at is one that is custome built by wisconsin airsoft. Its 8.4v 1500mah NIMH and it looks like 2 mini sticks attached together by a wire. that should help by fitting around the barrel
but Thank you guys for your help.
