View Full Version : Aar : Waa Aec 6-30
All in all, GREAT SUCCESS!!
We tripled our number of attendees from last time (2 last time, 6 this time), and all six passed!
I know the number is low, and its not hard to triple 2 players, but this is a great "jump start" from a way low turnout.
It looked as if almost, if not, all of the attendees were having a fun time going through some of the courses.
Thank you to all of you that attended, you made it well worth it!
Also, thank you to Daemondog for not only helping setup the courses and teach a bit, but for taking some awesome pictures!!

I (the guy in MARPAT) certainly had a good time, and my girlfriend did too. I'm really glad I decided to come out for this, it's a great experience.
Everyone should go out and take the AEC, not only is it a good learning experience, but it's damn fun as well. The lecture is very informative, and the opportunity to ask the veterans questions is great, and the marksmanship courses are an awesome challenge too. All in all, it's a good way to spend a couple hours. :)

I had a great time doing the AEC as well. As CrazedAntelope said, talking with airsoft veterans is always a plus. I also enjoy talking to the new players to get their perspective. This was my 14th airsoft event, and I still feel like a newbie.
I think even seasoned players can benefit from sitting through this course. A refresher on basic safety and etiquette can remind players of things they start to take for granted. Plus, its a great way to make sure we all are on the same page when it comes to safety.
The three shooting courses were fun. Given enough time, I would have liked to run each course three times.
I do have some suggestions. In the lecture, I think some of the equipment discussion can be shortened. I think some of the details on gear could be left out. I also think a bigger emphasis should be put on not playing "backyard" airsoft and on telling players to learn the local laws concerning airsoft weapons. On the second shooting course, perhaps there could be a way to more clearly define which targets went with which station.
Great job, guys. By the way, all three instructors had excellent attitudes and seemed happy to dump loads of good info on us all.

As soon as an AEC falls on a day where I'm free (which is now rare), I will be there. Keep up the good work. [:Y:]
Yeah, the gun she was using did not want to work all to well so I grabbed mine quick to borrow out.
