Hey everybody. I live in Oconomowoc, WI and I have recently got my first AEG...a Tokyo Marui AUG, and I also have a KWC Desert Eagle and UHC USP. Im kind of looking for an airsoft team at the moment. Are there any teams in or close by to Oconomowoc, WI?

First of all, Welcome. Glad to see more people my age popping up. Good choice on the TM AUG, it'll treat you well. As far as teams, check out the "Team Descriptions" part of this forum, I'm sure there is a Team in your area that'll at least let you sit in on a few games, so you can get a taste of what airsoft is like. Again, Welcome, and good luck!

Thanks man. I've checked out that section and I have found a few good teams. I was just asking incase there were some left out. Do you have the TM AUG? I love it. Theres one thing thats bothering me with it though. Ive only put about 600 rounds through it and after about 400 it started giving off a somewhat "heat" like smell. It is a faint smell but it is just kind of making me worried to use it a lot. Im gonna be getting another AEG sometime in the near future anyways, but I would like to know what the problem is with my AUG...if its even a problem at all.

welcome to the forums I think youll like it because I sure do. Again nice choice on the AUG I have different kind of AUG that is broke but it served me well. I think there might be a couple of teams around there and if not there are probably a couple of kids like you in youre area who would carpool so you could go to a couple of games. And if that is the case then maybe talk to Rattler and he may be able to set you up at some ausome Task Force Steal Horce games

I do not have an AUG. My buddy had one, and I loved it. Plus, I'm a TM Fanboy!! Anyways, the only thing I can think of as far as the smell is that your using too long of bursts on full auto, and the motor is working too hard, creating the smell.

Hmm . . . it might be something really weird with your battery if it's defective, but I imagine you'd notice that when you recharge the battery. Other than that, overworking the gearbox would seem the most likely.
Of course, my diagnostic track record is . . . well . . . yeeeaaaah.
THIS! IS! OCONOMOK- err. . . OCINONOMOW uh . . . WISCONSIN!

And yeah, I'm going to get my wirings rechecked and I'm also going to be getting a trickle charger...i have a fast charger right now and I think that might be the problem...I think im over charging the battery and its putting out too much energy.
