after a good 6 months of use, probably more than 2500 bbs through it, my KWA M9 has ran into a problem. The gun seems normal when the mag is out, but when i put it in, the slide is forced back a little bit (never happened before)
I'm not sure if it's something with the mag, or if it's internally the gun, it all seems fine internally... unless i'm missing something (which i could be... gotta pull my manual out of the safe to take a look i guess :P ) I was planning on getting a new gun (a Western Arms somethin...) but i didn't want to get it this soon, so if anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated, when i fire it almost seems like it doesn't fully shoot the gun, if that makes sense... i mean to say that the gun doesn't fully blow back and come back (because of that space i'm guessing.)

dont know if its the same but i had same prob with spring pistol(my was crap) all i did was take off top piece and remove spring, seemed to help, and if it didnt i would beat on it, ether fixing or breaking it

I had a KWA UPSc (full metal slide and barrel), the problem I had was very similar, the slide wouldnt come all the way foreward after shooting it, then on the next trigger pull it wouldnt fire since trhe slide was so far foreward.

The problem turned out to be gas slowly releasing into the gun from the valve not sealing correctly. All I had to do was put a bit of silicone down the port on the TOP of the mag and work the valve a few times before I load it up.

The amount of gas leaking was so very miniscule I didnt even notice it, but it was enough to prevent proper slide function.

Hope this helps.

when you say the top of the magazine, which part of it do you mean? (in the little vent thing near where the BBs come out or where the valve is located?)

probably through the gas port. one thing you HAVE to do with the gas guns, is take the slide off, and lube the follwing....

Make sure you lube the piston in the port with a few drops. make sure its free. it should pull out towards the front of the slide, and return freely and smoothly. BE GENTLE, its only a toy.

My KSC sticks when this is not flowing, because it sticks. And lube the rails. you wont need a lot, maybe 4 drops 2 each side.
The piston could be hitting the magazine, but doubtful if it worked fine before.
If this doesnt help, i cant do much more.
