View Full Version : AAR: AEC May 20th, APOC
Great day for the two attendees that came out for the day. We all had a blast. Both passed, and the mini skirmishes were a blast afterwards, at least for me.
Thank you both Wolfram and Bridgh, without you, it would have made the day quite boring.
KOPFSCHUSS, Bathsponge, and Ghostbear, I GREATLY appreciate the help.
Hope to see more at the next AEC.
Damn, that almost made it worth the effort.

Had a good time, just wish there wouldve been more students there. It really just irks me that "people" state that theres not enough AEC's, and here we are from 2 corners of the state to teach....2 guys.
Dont get me wrong-im glad at least they showed up-but you all know where im going with this.
Also understood-theres a couple games this weekend-cool. theres one AEC next weekend. Im waiting for the numbers on that one.
Raffle-wow! what a close one! two gun cases-two participants!;)
A-ron-always at the AEC's service.

Only two people showed to the AEC at Apoc?? That is surprising... I hope people start changing their attitudes toward the AEC when some free/special events show up in the near future that only AEC certified players can play in... :o
Although I wasn't there, thanks to the WAA members that took the time to go out there and setup for the AEC.

I'd really have liked to go to this (or any AEC) but my schedule is just jam packed at the moment.
It's kind of depressing that noone seems to take airsoft seriously enough to go and get certified by the very association that is involved in many of the events they attend. :(

Actually thats the problem. Is right now 95% of games are not run by the association, but are run by private individuals(even if they are WAA members) so they do not have to follow WAA rules(though most do to some extent) nor do they require the AEC. I personaly feel aittitudes will change here soon when more fields will start to require the AEC. Granted not every field will require the AEC but enough will that it will make it worth it to take the AEC. Personally I really enjoy that fields have their own special rules on things, it keeps things fresh but I dont like the fact that at the past 3 games I have been to I have had to yell at somebody not to blindfire, to keep goggles on when on the field(I mean they were completly off) and today I saw somebody holding a P90 in the staging area in fairchild with their finger on the trigger. I didnt say anything because a barrel condom was on and the gun was put down rather quickly. Still though its bassics like the bang rule, parlay rule, blindfire, calling your own hit and not calling others, and general safety tips that the AEC will cover and games will be better off even if they have some special house rules
Few pictures from the event...
