Our team was established in April of 2007 by me. The SWVA's mission is to introduce NEWER airsofters to team play in a controlled, safe, friendly, Mature, organized and Ethical environment, while keeping all individual costs at a minimum.
Why did we choose a Vietnam theme?
-Well, Vietnam soldiers had a lighter demand of a detailed, full uniform worn at all times. Thus we do not demand a highly accessorized uniform, keeping costs low.
You will need AT LEAST Olive Drab (army/dark green) pants, boots, and a SOLID Olive Drab shirt (button up, long sleeve or short sleeve preffered).
you may include such items as an A.L.I.C.E pack, helmet, belt, hat, mag pouches, holsters, etc. if you wish to. Put any items like those in your uniform if you want to further personalize your kit :)
THESE ITEMS ARE A MUST FOR PARTICIPATION:
1. Blaze orange bandana
2. Shooting glasses or face mask etc.

DETAILED OVERVIEW:
SWVA is a TEAM. We aim to introduce newer airsofters to work as a team and to show how self discipline, determination, and respect can benefit the team as a whole. Also, we like to improve upon healthy ethical behavior, which keeps everyone on the team inline, happy, motivated, smart, and most of all, SAFE.
SOLDIER KITS AND CLASSES:
After communication with me or 1 other founder of our team about joining, you will be instructed to visit on a day we practice, to try out for a position. At the end of the day's activites, you will receive a class and kit assignment for you to purchase. You cannot choose your own class. This is because we may need more people for one than the other, and we also choose by skill and qualities you have. It's quite simple ;)
Here is the kit list for each class:
(remember, you are to purchase your kit after you are assigned one)
Assault: JG M733, 1 spare magazine, 1 UHC Python .357 or UHC 1911.
Rifleman: JG M16A2, 2 spare magazines
Support: AGM M14 (wood stock), 1 hi-cap magazine, 1 UHC 1911.
Sniper: Snipers will have access to many different rifles depending on location. Primaries will be these: MP001 (wood stock, up to you to purchase, the rest are provided), UTG M324, UHC Super 9, AGM M14 DMR, (scope provided for each), UHC 1911, TIGER STRIPE clothes. (not camo)
Engineer (undecided)???????: KTW Ithaca M37 Shotgun (found at WGC shop or Red Wolf Airsoft etc.), UHC Python .357, A.L.I.C.E pack.

For those of you who have Tokyo Marui's, Classic Army, ICS, G&G, and/or GBB's or other high end guns, please let us know exactly what you have in your arsenal to see if it would be permissable for your use with the team. Because our arsenal is sort of limited for realism and historical accuracy.
