This game was great and I thank Greg for putting on such a fun game. With the 15 or so different fields and all that land and bases, Every match we played was like a new field and was GREAT. This is a great field to play at and there was a great turn out of players. I incourage more airsoft players to come and see how it goes here. It wont let you down, I promise. Also with refs on the field, there is less chance of anyone cheating and it made that game run much smoother. Team Bravo will be going there once a month to airsoft and it is a good field that I would love to airsoft at with more players.

I will second that, the refs at this field were some of the best I have ever worked with, and everyone did an awesome job of calling there hits/staying safe/ having fun.

I can't wait for the next game, all we need now is a scenario to run.

If somebody wouldn't mind, could you give a break down of the field and what types of games were played. Any points especially stand out, both good and bad.

I won a gold star!

But yeah, the fields were pretty well laid out, allowed for easily cover fire/flanking movement (typical of paintball fields). I thought they were well balanced. some neat structures, not APOC amazing, but more of the little stuff spread about, so maybe not one huge structure, but about 10 or twelve strewn about. Very nice to move around in. I thought it was a great time. I even switched over from a balaclava/goggles combination to my paintball mask cause I couldn't breathe through the cloth.

I just had a good time over-all. I would diffenetly go again.

Because it was a trial run for airsoft, we just played what they had planned out, which were CTF games on different fields.

First game was in a bunker field which consisted of rolling hills and a whole bunch of cover. Fire and move is a must in this type of terrain.

Second game was in a field where a huge fort is in the center. We were supposed to grab a flag from the center of the fort and take it to the enemy base. It was very fun fighting for the fort and taking the fight outside as well.

Third game was a lot of fun; we went to a large field dotted with bunkers, spools, and cover and on each end of the field were two large forts. Each team started in a fort and had to assault the other teams fort to capture their flag. Tons of fun... guys in the tower can see the firefights raging below and can easily see people assaulting their fort. Perfect sniper roost too...

Fourth game involved us playing on Bunker hill, which was AWESOME. A rolling hill seperates two halves of the field; both halves are filled with bunkers. We were allowed to take our flag and hide it in a bunker and so was the enemy. Battles commenced as both teams tried to gain ground in order to clear out the bunkers to find the flag. VERY unique field and it would work great for a town/village/urban type environment.

Last game was played on the most unique field I have seen in a very long time. Tons and tons of carpeted pallets dotted a rectangle shaped field and three medium sized forts were in the center. Each one had a flag full and a rope pully; one team had to raise all the green flags to the top of the flag poles in order to win and the other team had to raise all the pink flags. Flags constantly raised, were lowered, and switched sides as we played a crazy "regen till you are done, tired, or one team controls all three flags" game that ended the day.

Although they were all paintball style CTF games, the fields were so much fun. I have never seen a field covered with so many pallets, spools, barrels, huts, bunkers, forts, piles of rubble, etc in my life. The whole time I was playing I was thinking about how I really want to run a huge airsoft game out there that connects all the fields. I've already talked to Greg (the owner) about writing up a storyline and running some scenarios out there for future airsoft games. To all who sat home today... you missed a great game on an amazing field!

There were only had 12 people, but we had a great time.

The fields were varied and fun. All had an abundance of man made cover including large wire crates filled with wood, stacks of barrels, bunkers made of pallets and plywood, railroad ties, and single and multi level forts. One field had a small fort made of barrels. Only one filed that I recall was heavily forested, plus it had a lot of the man made cover too. For anyone who has played a lot of paintball, the fields are not anything out of the ordinary. However, they are well laid out and very fun to play on.

One exception was the last filed we played on, the Forbidden Zone. Kerrick13 game a great description of it above. I personally had never played a game like that. Man, was it tiring, but it was equally as fun. I came so close to getting the third flag raised, but then Kerrick13 had to come along and spoil my fun, hehe.

For larger games with teams of more than 15 on a side, I think the fields would have been cramped. Perhaps then two or more of the fields could be combined into one.

One feature I like is the cubby hole each person is assigned. You can leave valuables there such as you keys, wallet, and cell phone. You get a wrist band with a number on it that matches the cubby hole’s number, plus you have to leave your ID there. To get anything out of a cubby hole, you have to be wearing the wrist band that matches the hole.

I think APP has a good thing going, and I plan to play there again. Having to wear full face protection won’t deter me, but I am used to that having been a paintballer for 15 years. I suggest everyone get out to APP at least once and form your own opinion, but I bet you’ll like what you see and have a great time.

By the way, playing against Wolf Recon, Beasthunter33, and Duke from Badger Airsoft was a blast. Duke then switched over to my team for even more fun. I sure went through a lot of BB's and had one memorable fire fight with Beasthunter33. I cannot wait to do it all again at any field.

Yes it was great, I am really hoping to get more players there to have larger battles.

I'm sorry this took so long work and all but I'm going to keep it short and sweet....

The pro and cons APP First Ever Airsoft Event and the field...

pros:

The owners and employees where friendly and very helpful.

Great field with multi different field areras for all diffrent taste.

The Ref's rock and wish more fields had them.

cons:

My only gripe about the field is ... can the multi different field areas handle over 40 Airsoft players??? :s

And my only gripe for the day ... I wish more people came and played. :(

Overall I will be coming back on the April 15th and many more times after that. [:Y:]
