... A-Rons reactions...
I don't know where to start.
Aside from the snow, and the constant need to crawl out of it, it could not have been a better day. The weather was cool yet warm, almost the kind of day you want for airsoft.
The storyline was great, it kept everyone occupied for a long time, and it was nice to have two bigger blocked phases, rather than several little ones.
There were a couple run ins with shots under ten feet, and they were solved accordingly. People you have GOT to keep your fingers off the triggers though if you are inside bunkers or buildings, and have no intention to fire. I can't count how many people got shot on accident because of it.
- Sparrow Unit - Nice to see some newer faces on the field. You did well, and hope to sometime play with you again.
To the few that got called out at the end, sorry. It is safety first out there, please learn from your mistakes.
Other than that the day was awesome for me and my team, and by far the best I've been to in a LONG time.
Thank you Gary for the use of the field and the storyline.
I hurt ALOT... Not due to bbs but due to the ammount of snow I had to trudge through.
For all those who stayed home today because you are afraid of a little bit of snow, you missed a game that will be talked about for years to come. The snow added a bit of difficulty to the game that can't be explained unless you were there. I would like to try this scenario when there is no snow but my god that was fun. Thanks Gary for the field use and for putting this thing on.

I agree- the snow was rough, although being small and light was a nice advantage because I stayed on top of it for most of the day. I really liked the scenario this time, very creative and very well done. And I think playing two phases was fun, overall a great day and I'm looking forward to the next game!
The snow added ALOT of difficulty TomE. Stupid Element and his not weighing anything just walks on top of that stuff. He needs more gear.

heh, I had a great day, the weather kicked ass, and once some of the trails were broken in, moving wasnt to bad.....
One more thing in addition to the 10ft dealie, there was some blind firing, please please please! dont stick ur gun around corners or over walls and blindfire, that is just plain dangerous.
I hope to see u all again, but I needs MONEY's........................ So it might be a while...

I don't feel it yet, but I am sure my legs will be aching in the morning. The snow made moving much tougher and louder!
This scenario was the first one I have played in with longer phases. I liked it a lot. I think it gave people much more trigger time, which is why we are out there: to (non-lethally) shoot each other and have fun doing it.
This was also my first time using a radio. That is one useful tool. I am shocked I never used one for paintball.
For next time we just need to get everyone there a little earlier. Thanks for letting us play later, Gary. It was a great day.

Great game, I haven't been to a game like that in awhile. It was great and the turn out was awesome! The Scenario and Phases were great. Like Tom said, for the ones who didn't come, you missed a great game! I think us insurgents did our share of aggravating and turning down the other teams from their barrels... It was good to see new faces, yes, but always remember, without honor in airsoft and in life what do we have? There were a couple of times I could swear and I know people were getting hit. But, I can understand somewhat because we were all wearing so many layers it was hard to tell...
Again, thanks to all who showed, Gary, and especially the people who gave me a fight out on the field, it was a blast...
p.s. - who-ever took pics (Sparrow Unit, I saw some guys with a camera), make sure you post the ones you can for us... And Aaron I want some of the ones you took.
about how many people showed up?

Like Chase said, for the ones who didn't come, you missed a great game! .
Chase has not said anything...he's to busy trying to defrost his tropical....:wide-eyed
Seriously, I like the scenario...looking forward to trying it out again WITHOUT the snow. It was great game an it was nice seeing new people.:D

I had a great time even though I got lost and drove to the store instead of the field, and missed the first half, but what are you gonna do? The snow was hard to move in but it didnt take away from the action to much. I had a great time playing with you guys for two hours and now I know the easy way I should be there on time next time. Only complaint on my end was in last game some dude flipped out and started screaming like a little kid and was screaming threats to kick some dude off the field I guess due to not calling hits and putting on a kill rag? I dont know good game though hope to see you guys some time in the near future.
There was more to it than what most believe. A lot of violations started happening at the end of the game, and most were taken care of accordingly / the way they should have been.
Guys the problems were dealt with at the field, we don't need to deal with them here, it just causes more problems. As far as I know everyone is cool... If you had a problem feel free to PM me or A-Ron and we can take it up with Gary. Talking about it here on the forum will do no good but to drag someone's good name through the dirt....
PS: common Turkey you take something I say and attribute it to Ddog? Is it something I said to you? Don't you love me anymore? ;)

PPS - Sry to the guy I shot in K instead of banging... It was about 10 feet away and my finger just kinda pulled the trigger when you came out of the corner, so sry again.
~ I hope the guy that came and rolled with us during the second and third phases had a good time (he had a cobra patch on his vest).

I gotta disagree with you here TomE. I think a good AAR should touch on both the good and bad points of a game. I agree with you that there is no need to drag somebodies name in the dirt (unless they repeatedly do the same thing) and I am sure that between you, A-Ron and Gary that it was taken care of at the field, but it is still worth mentioning (IMO) in the AAR.
Personally, I think the AARs that most people put up are more of AKR (ass-kissing reports). Folks should include the bad in their AARs, so event coordinaters can learn something from them, rather than just having their balls stroked. As long as folks keep the criticisms constructive, then nobody should be personally offended.
That's my view, take it for what it is. The rantings of a drug dealing asshole who is out to destroy airsoft in WI. :o

Well, you are an asshole Maple, but you aren't the only one so I tend to agree with that. I am not sure exactly what all the complaints were but I heard blindfire thrown out there. I know I talked to some guys about it before it was done and they definently knew it was wrong so if they did it shame on them.
Mat I agree give the bad as far as the scenario goes.
But as far as the safety violations go they were handled on the field and all parties that were involved have taken care of the problems already, we don't need to hash that out over and over and get people mad all over again. Things got heated out there and it was dealt with by myself and a bunch of other players who saw what really happened, the Adrenalin was flowing it was extremely intense but cooler heads prevailed... BTW the problems were with a couple of seasoned players not just some kids, just to ward off anyone saying its "those damn kids again". That's all I have to say on the subject, if you wish to know more, come see me at the next game I'm done with it here.

Agreed, no need to hash it out here. I think A-Ron did a good initial "complaint" of the behavior that shouldn't be happened, by mentioning it, but not starting a smear campaign about it. IMO, it shuld be mentioned, but since something was done about it at the field, there is no need to go into it in detail.
Should nothing have been done, then I would be singing a different tune.
You won't hear "those damned kids" outta my mouth on this one, as I know who was at the game causing the issues. Funny thing is, I can say that it doesn't surprise me.... at all.
In the end, I agree with TomE that this isn't the place to start a fight about it (geez, look it me, I used to be the one to start the fights about sh#t like this) but there is no harm in mentioning it. In fact, it may help make a point that while you (the safety guys at WGF) are on the prowl that this stuff won't be tolerated.
That's all, on with the AAR... as I have other things to do, like ruining the WAA, WI airsoft and everybodies fields that I don't care for. And deal some drugs.

Mat, you will come to find out, I like to reinforce my points over and over again until they become redundant :) what can I say....
The only thing I can fault with the game was the fact I started the morning off with a BB that jammed in the tight bore barrel I was using. After fixing that I had a great time I went through about 7000 bbs for the day tho, I guess thats one way to get rid of those .20s hehe

Well color me surprised. I had no idea it was THAT kind of an issue. I was surprised the possibility for that issue was there at all as I had just called out said issue a few days ago on a different forum and got slammed for it.
