yes, it was a very good game, however afterwords I was checking my gun and discovered a sever crack in the front end of the gearbox (its a v2, knew it was coming). However it worked flawless at the battle and we all had a great time, high complements to TF Iron Hammer on their great teamwork, everyone should take an example from these guys, they are true leaders.
Thanks to all who came!

Our only AAR comment is that maybe next time instead of trying to do 500 rounds you should just say no high caps unless you are a machine gun. Thats normally how mil sim games run.

Define a Machine Gune? Like a support weapon, well, people like me run on high caps so I would let them stay.

My fault for this being late but new job and all. ;) Thanks Rattler (and family) for letting us play on the field and Rattler for setting up a good game. I especially liked how the van was used and howRattler drove it as "tactical" vehicle. :P And finally the "barn storming" phase kicked major butt and my sheild worked wonders. ;)

....mmm.... I don't think that's your decision. :busted_re "Unless" you are the event planner then it's your decision on the rules and how the game plays out. Also more games are going mid/low caps only and you don't have a choice at all. :(

Machine gun... M240, M249, M60, Hk 21E, HK 23E, MG 36, RPK....... list goes on and on. Machine guns man.
The reason why I said no high caps as a suggestion is because 95% of all Milsim games that I have scene dont allow high caps. The game was ment to be a milsim game and instead of telling people they can only have 500 rounds. Just say no high cap magazines, unless you are a squad automatic weapon (machine gun or support weapon. Whatever you want to call them), because support weapons such as a M249 or HK 21E dont use 30 round magazines like most weapons. Granted a M249 can use a m16 magazine (its made to do that so if you run out of belt fed ammo), but normally machine guns use 200 round drums, 100 round starter belts, and use belt fed ammo. They are made like that because they fire at such high rates.
Personally I dont care if people use high cap magazines but I was just suggesting not allowing it because A. as I stated before majority of mil sim games dont allow them B. 500 round limit is hard to enforce plus it cuts down on magazines people carry (For example if you carry a weapon that uses G3 magazines thats one high cap magazine) and more than likely you will have people running out of ammo.

This was our first mil-sim game and now we know after having one what to change. Thanks for the feedback and that sounds like it would be good.
Thanks for feedback and thanks for all who attended!

That's not true.
I know of many, many players who detest them and use mid-caps, standards or even real-cap mags.

I wouldn't say it's a rule but if you look at the "Bigger" events (over 100 people) like...
Operation: SAFARI STRIKE! 3 (http://wiairsoft.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3657)
Operation:Irene's ( http://www.oplionclaws.com/irene/irene-rules.php)
And most "bigger" CQB games don't allow high caps. ;)
And that being said the most popular/larger games have the rule of "No high Caps"
That's not true.

I'm moving over to Mid's myself because the issue of winding hi-cap's and I don't trust them. :(

@jedi: I don't mind if you switch over to mids, just don't expect me there.

I never said you didn't know people who use them. I'm saying most serious players/ Mil-Sim guys do not use high-caps.
This is a fact.
^^^ Oh really. I think maybe the broad generalizeing statements should be 86'd. I use highcaps and will continue to do so when I can.

who who who, lol, lets simmer down here lol.
I personally use hi-caps but dont like them because they are very unreliable and require so much winding, however it is nice not to have to switch mags so often, but I actually like that, it brings more reality to it...
Anyway, back to AAR please...
Thanks

Well, maybe it varies from area to area, but I have met and spoken to a lot of players. Maybe my statement is a little broad, but you do see a lot of "No Hi-cap" games (and players for that matter).
