I am new to this forumn and website but looking to find a good team. I am not to interested in playing as I am in just training and teaching. I am a Specialist in Tactics, Small-Arm Weapons and Surveilance. I was in the Army as Infantry when I got medical discharge, was an Air Force Cadet doing Search and Rescue for Civil Air Patrol and a Sherrif Exploror studying Gangs. I qualified as a Sharpshooter, Study 2 styles of Martial Arts and love what I do. I am currently heading back to school to get a degree in Law and apply for the FBI Academy to do Hostage Rescue.

Welcome to the WAA Forums, If I am reading you correctly, you want to use airsoft gear in training for tactics and such. Yall can correct me if I am wrong, but alot of where airsoft came from has alot to do with training. I know many of the larger retailers make a killing on law enforcement. What I think helps is how there are copies of every variation of real steel weapon available. There are not any old experienced teams in your neck of the woods, but there are some newer players that I am sure would be more than happy to help you in what ever way possible.

Again, Welcome to the Forums!
You're more than welcome to come to the game on Nov. 6th in Osseo. If you haven't come by Jason's store in Eau Claire, please do.
There are quite a few new players out here who are looking to organize a team. There are also a few experienced players who have moved to this area. Unfortunately, I don't know the Chippewa Falls players well enough to give you names. There's really been only one organized game in this area and the organiziers are mostly making plans for this next spring and summer.
If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me. There are roughly 50-60 players in this area that I have met. But only about half of them have really expressed interest in playing. After this game, there's an indoor CQB game planned for January and there is more planned once we start getting a good showing of players.

Hello and welcome.
BTW: People might take you more seriously if you spell things right... "Professional"
(I can't believe no-one got that before me!)
That or nobody really cares because the board runs rampant with spelling and gramatical errors.

Texx, ill take my Benelli M1 Super90 with Highbrass, heavy load 00Buck...
As for YOU hrtghost...I know how u feel man, my fingers dont mean to, but they often type things with a certain "Derk-A-Der!!" style...
BTW, u dont know Martial arts untill ur a Jedi Masta!
Its a good choice, but a pump gun in the hands of a master scattergunner can be almost Zen-like. In the absence of a master, I can hit the broadside of a barn several times...

Welcome to the forum. I think you will see in no time that many of us have a tendency to misspell words.
Shotgun?!? Why use that when you can use a .50 Browning Automatic Machinegun? For us civilians, though, better known as a 1 round bolt action kill anything sniper rifle. BTW, tracer rounds from one at dusk are awesome.
Welcome,

I'll answer for him, no, the Army doesn't teach MCMAP. We have our own derivitive referred to as ACT (Army Combatives Training).

I think Archos was going after the fact that he stated he was in the Army, but then he says he took MCMAP. If he took it in the Army, it should have been ACT.

Uhh..yeah. The M2 is a little large for use in close quarters. And it certainly isn't something you would want to carry into a fight.

Yup, I noticed that also and thought it odd. My intent was to add to the recognizable inconsistency.

I thought we were in sarcasm mode with the shotguns...if I had to choose a close quarter weapon it would be the .454 Casule with hollow points. I was just trying to be sarcastic...guess it doesn't transfer onto the net. Well, I guess you could use a shotgun with 00 buckshot...but if I was going against somebody as close as martial arts, I would want something that packs a wollop and is still light enough to move quickly.
On the third (or is it fourth) hand, who would bring a gun to a fist fight...oh yeah, somebody that isn't a good fighter (me :D ).

.454 Casull - most of the revolvers chambered for this round are single action. Fanning the hammer would do serious damage to your wrist because of the high recoil. Then you have cylinder capacity - many are 5 shots. There is a reason why these guns are normally only used for hunting.
You can kill a fly by impaling it with a blowgun dart - which requires tremendous skill and practice. Or you can pick up a flyswatter, a shoe, or magazine and swat it. What does it matter, its still dead.

Yes, I know about the .454 Casull(sp?)...my father owns one, and I hunt with it. Yeah, I know, he has one but doesn't know how to spell it?!? I am certain that if I fired that gun with only one hand, I would break my wrist. The cylinder capacity is 6. I use the gun for my side arm when I walk durring deer season. I would not have to fan the hammer either, I would just pull the trigger after each shot, and I'm pretty sure of my shot.
FYI, when shooting a block of ice 2 ft. x 3 ft with a .454 Casull, watch out for flying ice chunks :D

If it is a 6 shot revolver, its not a Casull. The Casull is a 5 shot, IIRC they said it is 5 shot because if it was 6, the metal between each round would be alot thinner, and more breakable or something along the lines of that. Basically it is 5 shot because the metal is thicker and stronger.

Duuuuude...I can't believe I am such a numbskull :duh: . I went and took a look at it to make sure I was correct, and yes...it is a 5 round cylender capacity. Wow, I guess all of my posts just lost their credibility...
In my defense, I have been driving all day and am very tired...or something like that...wow...
Texx, sorry I doubted you on the cylender capacity...my bad :imstupid:

Ruger makes a double-action Super Redhawk (http://www.ruger-firearms.com/Firearms/FAProdSpecsView?model=5505) chambered in .454 Casull that holds 6 rounds in the cylinder.
