To join a team private forum you will need to request permission. Do that by:
click User CP in the top right corner.
in the Miscellaneous category of the left side bar, click Group Memberships.
click Join Group on the right side of the screen for the group you want to join. Once a group leader has been assigned, they will then approve your request.
If you are a group leader, here's how to check for, and approve group join requests:
click User CP in the top right corner.
in the Miscellaneous category of the left side bar, click Group Memberships.
in the You are a leader of the following groups section click the link under View Requests.
Select the members you want to approve or deny.
