Has anyone seen the KJ M700? Its supposed to be designed from the Tanaka M700 and it supposedly is pretty decent. I'm maybe thinking about getting one in the future and I was wondering if anyone had any insight about it. Ive seen on some sites that it shoots 550fps out of the box, but others say it only shoots 300fps. Seems like for the price (~$250) it would be a great choice as a sniper. Just wondering what you guys think.

Shazam has one and it does shoot 550 outa the box ... even higher i think. It seems pretty good for the price. I guess the hopup is a bit touchy, but otherwise its good for the money.

There was a review of it on Arnies' back a few months ago. I heard the barrel needed to be replaced. Other than that, Jungletoy seems to sell alot of them, I haven't seen them in stock for months. This may be due to selling them out or because one of the distributors/importers stopped selling KJW because of a nasty lawsuit from Cybergun. That was the rumor a few months ago, so don't hold me to it.

I will be attending BHD and i will have my KJ M700 along... I like it but a tightbore would help a lot and also a new hop up unit would help, this one is very touchy... I have read that .36 bbs are to heavy for in it so i am currently using .28s...

Why would .36g bbs be too heavy? Is there a way to alter the gun so it will accept heavier bbs?

well it can use .36s and everything but the hop up isnt very good and i heard that the hop up seems almost no-existent when you use .36s in it... I have heard quite a few people agree with the statement and there is a concensis (sp) that SMG .29s are the best or .28s... Replacing the hop up would prolly fix this...

Cool, cuz wouldnt it be beneficial to use a heavier bb with that type of rifle? I know of some guys that will use a .43 in their guns.

The heavier wieght bb's in sniper weapons have many purposes, they punch thru leaves and other foliage a hell of a lot better. When flying longer distances they are less effected by wind and such ect.,

So, hypothetically speaking, if i were to get this rifle, how much would it cost to upgrade the hop-up so it could fire a .43g bb and add a tightbore barrel?

Hop up buckings are cheap.

Got myself a Hard one for the PSG-1, for 8 bucks..

Tightbore? I think its a .05 stock, so you probably want to go .03 (I use one, But sometimes it jams, beware!)

Otherwise, Don't use green gas. That will screw with your hopup.. its got sillicone in it! The guy using HPA is insanly accurate with his because....

Wait for it...

Just another 2 lines...

Or 4..

CONSISTANCY! I'd shoot propane, Same stuff, no crap... Otherwise, Co2 sounds wise, (it cools :( ) or HPA. (its expensive :( )

ShaZam, You willing to sell the thing?

Lets not start a green gas is propane thread ok? We all know that some people would like to belive that they are the same, and we all know that others realize that propane is propane, and green gas is whatever the hell they put in those cans to keep our Gas guns running.

In one line you talk about useing HPA for consistancy then in another you recomend CO2?!?!?!?

Yup, Guess my points dont get arcross that well..

But anyhow, I'll tell you the Reasons..

1. HPA is *THE MOST CONSISTANT * but, this is terribly Expensive to set up, and you have to modify mags, and you'll need a regulator.

2. C02 is Best consistancy for our price. You can use that handy 12 Gram Converter.

3. Green gas/Propane, Is what the gun was designed for, The mags don't need a converter or Modification... (Propane adpt. Excluded) And It wGill be like shooting Regular Green Gas... Maybe a tad harder.. Without hop-up fiddles.
