Back at Viper's July 24th Dragon Lair Game, I believe it was "Black Dragon" had asked me about the traveler's vest I had, as it was made from a soft Cotton Poplin material common to the old hot weather OD Uniforms used during Vietnam. I had promised a link to the retailer I knew of which sold the reproduction stuff.

After a month of contacting various other hobbyists in the US and UK, I finally found the link:

http://www.mooremilitaria.com/

I apologize for the time it took, but I was not entirely sure how I had originally found the link. It was finally pointed out by a friend of mine who stumbled across it on Arnies' Airsoft site.

If you look, they sell the original manfuacture and repropuction Poplin uniforms in various styles according to the year of production, etc.

They also have OD, ERDL (precursor to the woodland pattern) and VN tigerstripe. Please keep in mind many of these are geared towards reinactors and film companies, so the prices are a bit more than your average BDU/CCU/etc. They are also reproduction which are supposed to be historically accurate to the originals. The actual issue surplus gear is expensive because alot of the gear is close to 40 years old. They sell the stuff that is Good to Very Good Condition, which often go for higher prices.

Those of you who may be looking for a unique OD uniform or repro gear from the VN era, may be interested. It sure beats the heck out of the VN unifrom US Cav sells, which is made of the heavier twill.

Some other advice to those of you looking for classic-style gear, Rothco makes several classic-style Loadbearing pouches and pockets that are repro of many of the older VN-era web gear. Moore also sells repro and surplus VN gear.

Again, Black Dragon, I apologize for taking so long to find this retailer. And if it was another player, I apologize for getting the details mixed up.
