Kill rag is just a red rag (really any kind of rag will work as long as its accessable during the game and red) that when u get shot, u have to ether hold up or tie to the tip of your gun, whatever u prefer so that everyone can see it and know u are out...also so you dont get shot otw to respawn or whatever

04 Apr 06, 02:17 PM
Yes everyone need a waiver and a health form filled out, once per year. If you are under 18 you also need your parents to sign the form.
Make sure that you also print your name so it is readable.

If you have a gun, and a way to get there, you would be good to go. That is, assuming your goggles are ANSI rated.

As long as you are 18, you don't have a problem. You can fill one out at the field. Anyone under 18 needs to print off the forms, and have a parents signature on them unless a parent is dropping off and can fill it out that day.

phase three- Govt response, Govt troops must search and destroy hidden weapons and their crews in the AO.
phase four- Govt assault on Rebel base. Govt VIP's must be rescued from the Rebel base.
There will be no uniform requirements, however Rebels will be wearing armbands.

Just a reminder that hwy 28 is under construction. For a map go to my forums under General discussions for alternate routes.
From Green Bay; Go to Hwy 57, exit Hwy W, West Bound, go to Hwy S, southbound go to Hwy SS about 2 miles, then east to the field.
From Milwaukee East side; Take Hwy 57 exit Hwy SS westbound about 5 miles you will go to Batavia, go thur Batavia on Hwy 28. 1 mile north of Batavia turn west on SS to the field.
From Milwaukee West side; take hwy 45 to Kewaskum, inside Kewaskum take hwy 28 eastbound about 1/2 mile, take Hwy S northbound (Next to the river) until you get to Hwy SS go east to the field.
Any questions please let me know.
I will have a cell phone on the day of the game 414-550-8368.

Are you seriously kidding me? Why would someone go so low as to stealing from someones vehicle? You just can't win wherever you go, theres always an asshole wherever you go.

In 15 years of Paintballing and Airsofting at my Field, I have never had a reported incident of someone taking an item from someone's vehicle.
People leave items laying on tables and they have never been bothered there either.
This is the first I have heard of this incident. I will not tolerate and will prosecute to the fullest extent anyone found violating others property.

On other words... Whoever did it, why? And what satisfaction does it bring you? Its a hell of a lot better to say you own it because you busted your ass to buy it rather than just ripping it off of someone else. Hopefully, this will be the ONE AND ONLY incident of this every happening at the WGF and we will not have to go through anything like it again. I for certain will be locking my car and keeping my keys on me from here out though. To whoever did it, good job totally chaninging the sport for all of us at Gary's!

New guys who were able to come out today, thank you, it was awesome. Sorry the first few rounds wern't to fun, but with a little help, you got everything together and you started to kick ass there. Great Job!! I hopefully will be able to see some of you out there again sometime in the near future and hopefully you'll like the sport enough to keep comming back.

Thank you Gary very much for the use of the field, and for the favor you did for us after the game. I know my guys greatly apprecaited it, and it was an awesome day (any day I don't throw my back out trying to haul a BOX OF SAND around is a good one, lol). Hope to see all of you, if not then most of you, out there on 4-27 for Op: Mechanica!

Not to discredit Matt in any way, because I don't think any of us would want to have anything stolen, but with all of the gear and guns that are laying out during the game, why would anyone go through the effort of breaking into his trunk to steal acouple mags and a camera? Not to mention with all the other cars that are left onlocked, what would make his stuff more desireable that someone would chance breaking into his trunk, being parked directly behind Gary's van up in front in plain veiw as Gary's wife watched over the safe area? Something doesn't sound right.
I do hope that this is not being done in an effort to deture people from playing at the WGR. Nothing like this has ever happend at Gary's field, and should never happen again. The WGR is a safe, affordable place where all of us can go to participate in the sport of airsoft. It would be missed if Gary decided it was too much hassle and closed the doors.
I DO hope that Matt has his property returned if it was stolen. No body wants there stuff taken. We all work hard to afford the things we have. I really hope that the equipment was mearly misplaced.
In the future, lock your doors and close your windows. I don't even leave my doors unlocked on my vehile in my driveway.

Good luck Matt.
btw, sorry about getting excited about blind fire. You do make a good point.

I hope you find your stuff matt, stealing, thats really low, and frankly the worst bull**** iv ever hear of at an airsoft game. It makes me leery about my own stuff, from now on i might still use a table but anything thats not on my person will have to stay locked up. Which is unfortunate because it is time consuming and a hassle.

other than that i had a good time.

Since i do not have access to a computer unless i am at work, this is the first chance I got to post. Thanks Timmay for posting for me.

Yes, several items were taken from my trunk. I admit, I left the car unlocked and the trunk open for most of the day. That was apparently foolish of me, but then again, I did not think anybody would go into my gear.

I do not fault Gary or his wife, as it is not their responsibility to keep an eye on my stuff. Or anybody else, as I should be keeping better tabs.

The theft sucks. i shake my head in the fact that there is no honor among players in an honor game. I hope the bastard gets more chaos from the deal then he ever dreamed of.

I must thank several people for lending me an mp5 and two pistols (not all at once) during the course of the second to last and last phase, and those who lent ne fuses. i found out my piston assembly came apart and jammed the gears, causing the fuses to blow. after an hour of resetting everything and double checking she seems to be working.

Although there were some occurances during the day, i thought it was fun and relativly hassle free. i hope they learned something and come to play again.

I had a blast at the game, and got to show off my L33T skillz! It was a good turnout, and a bunch of new faces. Good to see the sport is thriving.

My .02 on the "incident" with Maple's "reprimand" of the blind firing thru the tiny hole in the tower with a sniper rifle:

Maple called the player on bllind firing. Yes he gets "hot-headed" at times, and he has pointed that out about himself on many occasions. He is the VP of the WAA, and is very passionate about the sport. His Biggest concern is SAFETY, and making sure that everyone is trying to be safe.

The point was contested that the player wasn't "blind firing," rather he was sighting down the side of his gun and could see his target fine. This was deemed "okay and acceptable" with the supporting argument that "sometimes this technique is used IN REAL LIFE/WITH REAL-STEEL.
That arguement is seriously flawed, because this isn't real life and we aren't using real-steels.

THIS IS A GAME, NOT REAL-LIFE COMBAT. As such, some techniques used in real life combat CANNOT apply and still adhere to the safety required for PLAYING A GAME.
Yes, the player could see his Target just fine, but that is only PART of the reason for the blind fire rule. The other part is to prevent the shooter from hitting collateral targets that he cannot see. By sighting down the side of a gun - and not the top - a shooter is unable to see someone coming from the OTHER side of the gun into his field of fire. Yes, this is a remote chance thing, espeicially with a semi-auto weapon, but at the same time, with a sniper rifle there is a chance for serious injury if say that collateral target sprinted accross the shooter's Line of fire at the very wrong time at 30 feet. A nice shot to the ear at 30 feet with a 430+ rifle could do permanent damage.

Was Maple a little hot under the collar? Sure, but hey that's Maple. Did he apologize later? YES, because that too, is Maple. Was he wrong? NO. Was his point legitimate? Absolutely.

His point was indeed legitimate, but looking down the side of your gun isn't blind-firing. Blind-firing is just pointing your gun around a corner, or over the top of something with you not even aiming.

Blind firing is firing your gun without consideration of potential targets that you cannot see. Right, he wasn't blind firing because he could see the guy he was shooting at, but with the tiny port he was shooting thru, he had view of someone crossing his field of fire, a view he would have had if he were sighting down the top of his gun from a standing position over the top of the wall. That is a level of safe play that we should be considering, simply because we don't want people getting hurt unnecssarily.

I agree, but someone using a scope, usually has one eye closed. Depending on the relief of the scope, your eye may be real close to the scope. If so, you wouldn't be able to see either until they were almost right there.

Acutually, its a better practice to get into if you keep both eyes open while using any kind of optic enhancing device. Not only does it allow for you to use quicker target accusition (sp?), but it allows for you to see everything in your field of vision.

I don't know if any kind of organization (including military) uses that practice, but it is indeed one of the best ones to get in the habit of doing.

Since people are having a hard time with the defination of Blind Firing the following WILL BE THE RULE AT THE WGF.
Blind firing is anytime a player is firing his weapon at an unseen target. Thusly if you have line of sight to your target (weather the target is a structure or other player) it is not blind fire.
So if the question comes up could you see your target when you fired and the answer is yes then it was not Blind Fire.
