The small county of Kreplakistan has decided to produce nuclear fuel for a new, highly criticized reactor. The reactor is claimed to be for "peaceful" intents, but the UN believes otherwise. Recent information dictates that the Kreplakistani government has aquired plans for a nuclear bomb, and intends to use them. The UN needs answers and all diplomatic routes have failed. A small force is needed to penetrate Kreplakistan and discover the truth. The Kreplakistani people believe their government is right and don't want to see hostilities, but they will defend their country. The UN security council has made it clear to keep civilian casualties to a extreme minimum. Actually the exact words were "Zero civilian casualties".

BUT, you put 3-9, instead of 5-9...the 5 being for MAY, not the 4, which would be for April... ;)

I'm 100% sure it the 9th of April.
Date fixed, posted kinda early this morning.
Come on now Viper. Geez, you build me up for May and then you break my heart and change it to april. ;)
I'll mark the game down on my calendar and do my best to make it out.

And just where does DPM fit in, eh ole chap?
I'll fit it into the Kreplakistan Forces Prof. I'm figuring that I want a small force for the SF to make it more interesting. Plus, with most of the more seasoned players being Kreplakistani, should make for an interesting game and decent opposition for the SF.

-_- Sigh....
ANYWAY, me and some of the other delta boys are going to try to make it. We'll try to drag Archos along, as well.
Looking forward to it GD. Always happy to see the Delta Boys out and about.
"Meltdown" has a number of meanings in this case. 1.) The temps are warming up and the snow is melting. 2.) Nuclear + Disaster = Meltdown. Duality makes things more interesting.
Viper, got the game marked down and am ready to shoot. I'll bring along uniforms for either team, so i can help fill out which ever side is in need of players.
Glad to hear it Maple. I look forward to shooting at you. ;)

http://dragon-lair.net/data_card.htm This is a requirement for entering the field.
You can check and see if I received the info at http://dragon-lair.net/field_access.htm

Can anyone say 3 to 1 odds. Spec Forces are going to have their hands full. Then again Timmay likes being outnumbered, keeps him on edge.
Beasthunter33
06 Apr 06, 05:31 PM
That is why they are special forces. They are supposed to be outnumbered. ;)
If Dark Knight allows my flamethrower, then I will feel really bad for them. Last weekend I went through almost 40,000 BBs.....

That's good for the Spec Ops guys. Especially since they have to infiltrate the area on the first mission. It'll help them be sneaky.

What is the range and the FPS of the "flame thrower"? If it shoots more than 60 feet or so, it is not very realistic and personally, if people are getting pelted by 200 bb's at a time, I foresee some pissed off people, especially if it is at 200fps+.
-mat
Beasthunter33
06 Apr 06, 05:42 PM
It shoots stock AEG range about 100-120 ft. The real ones shoot 150ft so it is plenty realistic. I am also using .12g BB's traveling at less then 350 FPS. The thing relies on the number of BBs hitting a person for them to realize they are out. I have shot myself with it at 10ft, it just feels like a bunch of BBs being thrown at you.
I also just don't go spraying the field down like you guys are probably thinking. This thing requires you to be very conservative, as the hopper is only good for a minute of solid firing, and carrying bags of ammo with you gets to be quite bulky. Hence I usually fill it up, and when I am out go back and refill it back at the safe zone. This levels the playing field a bit.
Also, the FPS and range are adjustable, it is using CO2 through a regulator so I can set it to w/e I want (or am restricted to ;) ).

06 Apr 06, 05:47 PM
Beasthunter came out to our practice last weekend and I was on the receiving end of his flamethrower. It's shorter range than most AEGs but deadly at close range. It is not overpowered (in my opinion) and I think it works rather well.
It wouldn't be dangerous, if that's what you are concerned about.
Wolf Recon is also going to bring a claymore or two, which I would like to show to Dark Knight in order to get the approval.
Beasthunter33
06 Apr 06, 05:50 PM
Thanks Ryan, I was just gonna ask if you could chime in here for me.
I'm not concerned about it being dangerous, just rather excessive. Personally, I think it sucks when somebody stitches you with 10 bb's before you can raise a kill flag or they hear your "Hit!" called out. Now it may be under powered, but having 200 rounds light up my chest and head probably would be just as bad, if not worse.
I will save any further opinions for Sunday when i can actually see it in action.

Hye stupid question. Anyone got a beer keg they run. I need a CO2 tank for my flamethrower for the game. My mom was gonna drop it off for me to get filled on thursday, but she did it yesterday. And they are closed on weekends. :( grrrrrrr.......
So if anybody has a 5lb CO2 tank or less they can let me borrow for tomorrow I would REALLY appreciate it. I will even pay for the fill.
Unless I can get one, I am just not gonna deal with it this game, I was looking forward to it to.....

We had some problems with two guys we brought with us being immature yesterday and if they said anything or did anything then I would like to apologize. Thanks to Frank for letting us play on his field, it was really appreciated!
The game was really fun yesterday! The first mission we didn't even fire a single shot, but it was interesting because it presented a situation we had to adapt to... there are enemies, we can hear gunfire, but we have not shot at anyone. It was kind of nervewracking, and we had to change our tactics a few time. The second mission was fun and turned into a bloody standoff in the middle of the thickets. The mission ended when about 7 guys from my team had one Echo guy surrounded in the bush, but no one went in the take him out. I was dead, waiting for the medic and just watched this one guy hold off 7 other people. It was kind of funny to watch. The third mission was probably one of the funnest games I've ever played in airsoft. A 2 and a half hour game of constant fire fights, ambushes, flanking, counter flanking, defending, casualty extraction... it was awesome! We were constantly bringing the wounded back for revival and players that were on their last life were kept back for defense. There were a few times when I thought our little corner was going to be taken by Echo. You guys are pretty good! I remember once when Professor (I think it was Professor) charged our base from our left with guns blazing. Two guys got hit during that charge before he took off. Echo came back later with an awesome attack that wounded a few of us and almost took our base. I emerged from the thicket with a shot arm and a shot leg... but it was a blast!
All in all, a pretty fun day! We look forward to attending future games and we will be attending the AEC.
Thanks Frank for the field use and Viper for the general invite.
I had a good time hitting the field and shwoing off my super l33t (tromping around making more noise than a bear in heat) skills after my winter hiatus. :D
Always nice to see the Wolves, MERT, Dragons, Echo, etc. etc. and meet some folks I haven't met before.
Maybe next time I'll remember how to move quietly and efficently, but i tend to doubt it.
See you all at the AEC on the 30th.
