Btw, how come the event is in late August? I didn't think of it because I graduated a couple years ago, but won't high school and college kids have to be going back at about that time? The first Red Venom was in June, and worked out great (High school kids were out for the summer and all the college kids came back to play).
Missed number one, number two will be quite a thrill for me. Hoping to get most of E.M.R. out there.

Although I didn't schedule the game, School starts in September. It is not exactly easy to get a game at Apoc. So you are very limited to dates because of Paintballers.

Durp, your right. I've been out of high school too long and my online college doesn't have time frames, so I guess I'm not used to the dates anymore :P
If that's the case, then we will be bringing quite a few then (as stated in first post).

Well personally, school will start for me again on Sept 7th. So I'm cool. and even so, it's on a weekend. I'd glady give up study time to attend. ;)

Vanac is correct. On top of that, we are given 2 days and not just one so I was willing to settle for whatever made the crew at Apoc comfortable to partake in this endeavor again. Not too mention I wanted to schedule it around the 2 events that Justin at Agressive Sports in IL has. AND it couldn't conflict with my annual globetrotting to Irvine/Texas/Anaheim/Atlanta/Pomona trips all through-out the year. That was the main factor in the delay for RV2. I just plain never had the time to devote.
It seems the stars lined up, the cards fell into place, the chicken bones are in order, and the writing was on the wall... it is here now.

It has come to our attention that you have made an unauthorized use of the name and styling of the "Cobra Company" (http://www.cobracompanywi.com) airsoft army. "Cobra Company" has been the premier airsoft group for the last year in the northern hemisphere and southern Brazil areas. Your team entitled "Cobra" (http://home.armourarchive.org/members/kaylyons/Cobra/) is essentially identical to our clients properties. Examples of items copied or derived from "Cobra Company" include the name of your group, the military patches, and the terminology of your page. Further examples will be presented upon request.
As you neither asked for nor received permission to use the "Cobra Company" styling as the basis for "Cobra" nor to make or distribute copies, including electronic copies, of same, I believe you have willfully infringed my clients rights under 17 U.S.C. Section 101 et seq. and could be liable for statutory damages as high as $150,000 as set forth in Section 504(c)(2) therein.
"Cobra Company" has for it's entire existence offered Franchising rights to teams interested in the "prestige and power Cobra Company exudes"*. This option has been well advertised in "Time", "Maxim", and "Cat Fancy" magazines. We were at first surprised you have not contacted us about obtaining Franchising rights when they were this well advertised. But then we learned you were based in the state of Illinois and it made sense. They only solid requirement of a franchise rights is the payment of regular dues of a undetermined amount, though the "Cobra Company" franchise right contract for groups in size under 1500, and making net profits under $2,000,000,000 yearly is quite broad in the rights given to "Cobra Company". If you were to become a "Cobra Company" franchise team we would not have to report the above infringements to the authorities. Appropriate punishment would still be award to your team.
Do to recent issues with and acts of violence towards "Cobra Company" from most law enforcement agencies ( see Siege of Waco, Texas 1993 and our attempted theft of the fusion reactor from sci-tech industries in 2000) there may be a slight delay between our filing of request for recompenses for the damages caused by "Cobra" Team. Do not take this as a chance to escape these circumstances, or view this period of silence as us dropping the issue of you infringements. We here at Tomax and Xamot have the highest interest in protecting our clients.
Very truly yours, Tomax... Or maybe Xamot.
"Our you awaiting payment for your settlement? Have you been injured in a car or motorcycle incident? Are you a para-military group with ties to Extortion, Racateering, and low damage terrorism. Then contact Tomax and Xamot law offices. We protect you from the good people out there."

just a general question, directed at anyone and everyone who went to the first Red Venom or who has been to APOC.... is it worth the time and money to get out there? I've never been there and i'm always a bit sketchy about going to new places, so i'm just trying to get a feel for the night and day of airsofting there.
any good input is helpful and wanted! thanks

YES! First off the place is huge. Second its got lots of nice varied terrain and obstacles. Plus it has the Castle. Plus your guranteed to run into Paul while your there, great guy. Oh and some times there is really good spaghetti. And since your brought up Red Venom that took the whole thing up like 80-90 percent.
Id say its worth the $50 if for no other reason than the raffle. At RV they gave away something like 4 AEGS, a gas riffle, GBB's, Rogues entire stockpile of BB's which was like 30 bags and a ton of other ****. And that was only for 25 dollars. Just go its worth every penny.

Not to get off topic, but what happened with that, right beofre the game, Rogue bought a case of BB's. Like 20 bags. We had sponosrs that donated about 5 bags or so.
Well, Rogue put his cases in with the cases of sponsorship stuff so he wouldn't forget them. But he forgot to get them once we got there. So the next day when we started to raffle off some goodies, we raffled off his BB's not thinking about it. One bag at a time until all his BB's were gone. LMAO

Oh yes, hi-caps. Three to five if you have that many. Know what else you'll want to bring? Water. This is a summer game, and dehydration is a very serious issue. Know what happens when you don't get enough fluids? Your body get's pissed. No pun intended.

Break out that mosquito repellant, too. Apoc has a nice swamp on the property and you'll definitely find yourself near it at some point. Keep the OFF spray away from your goggles. It's melted 2 sets of lenses so far. I highly recommend Repel Lemon Eucalyptus repellant. No deet and not an overpowering scent, but it kept the bugs off for an entire day at Apoc.
