View Full Version : Wargame Field Skirmish Sunday 2-5-06
Sunday Feb 5th, field opens at 830am, briefing at 930am game starts 10am, ends at 3pm.
Fee's $10.00 per person.
Teams will be competing for points against each other on the field.
Everyone must bring a kill rag.
Snacks, Sodas, BB's and other supplies will be available.
Mission Objectives;
This will be a nonstop game lasting for 5 hours, plan on eating at your base. Ammo and other items can be left at your home base.
Each team will have its own Home base, (the field will be divided into 3 parts with 5 major structures in each sector). The home base will be decided on by the team commander, and can be moved to a different base within his home sector, at any time. The home base is where the Demo and Medical supplies are kept. Players that are KIA during the game will regen at their home base. Structures that are destroyed are unusable for the remainer of the game so protect them well.
Points will be awarded by the number of KIA's and the number of structures destroyed.
To destroy a base tools will be needed, (Srewdrivers). Plan on bringing some type of Demo tool (probably phillipshead)

Hey Gary, I plan on making this one so could you bring your C02 fill station?
The size of the teams will depend on the number of players. I would like to see three equal sized teams.

Seriously don't do that, buy a utg shotty from gary, atleast that thing will allow you to hit people. 150 fps with .12's will only let you bang people. In this weather we wont even hear it much less feel it. This way you'll also have a fun shotgun when you fix your mp5!

If you are really in dire need of a gun for the game you can borrow my UTG shotty. It ain't the greatest thing in the world but I put a Tokyo Marui stock barrel in there and It can hold its own against any AEG in distance and accuracy.

How are we going to determine teams while on the field? Arm bands?

same way as every other game
you find out by using your radio or code if they do not respond or respond incorrectly you shoot at them

It also helps to remember who is on your team. Just eye em up, figure what they have on and the like.

Great game everyone, and hope you get better soon Jon.
I also liked it when Professor tried to "bang" someone from about 80 feet away, the treeline to someone by K. That was hilarious, made me laugh.
But aside from problems and what not, good game. Wind wasn't soo bad later on.

great game all in all, cept all the batteries dying.
John was making jokes and eyeing the nurses in the hospital just like he normally would, so for those who are concerned he is doing just fine, that is until he sees what i did to the tires on his car ^^

That is good news, I hope he gets out soon. However I have to ask a question here about something of mine that went missing today. I gave some BB's to someone at Alpha in the first half of the Game and did not get back the Bottle that they were in (I don't care about the BB's I just want the bottle back). I am not mad or anything I know how things can be when you are in the middle of a fire fight.
It was a small cybergun 500bb bottle, with a yellow label on the front and a blue cap. anyone remembers grabbing such a bottle on the ground and not knowing whos it was please PM andmaybe we can meet at a future game. Thanks

Crisis- yeah i seen the tires and your gonna owe me!! jk
Nemesis- sorry bout our little scrap dont think that you were at fault for having my defibrilater go off, my heart rate was about 200 beats per minute so that was my fault, sorry for the gesture i made to you ill take the blame for whatever comes out of it. i just hope we can be better players out of it, sound good?
Gary- thanks for the call, i REALLY appreciated it, i just hope that i can still come to your events... fight free!
to everyone else- thanks for all of your care, even though we were on different sides everyone really came together and made sure i was ok! thanks again. NEXT time ill make a point of letting everyone know that doesnt know about me that i have a health problem of this magnitude! ill try to remain more calm next time.
p.s. i have someones hat and tiger stripe jacket in my car as far as ive seen.. and if i missed anyone else thanks again!

its all good i shot ya a pm back.
Since I wasn't there, I won't say much, other than this:
Arguing at a game: not cool.
Throwing punches: not only not cool, but it's illegal. You're lucky police officers weren't involved.
I'm glad you guys worked it out, but it is still unacceptable to throw punches at a game. NO MATTER WHAT!
If Gary is nice enough to invite you back to a game, you better buy him a fruit basket or something, because personally, mistake or not, behavior like that should keep a person permanently barred from airsoft. PERIOD!

Great game Gary. Glad to hear MP5 is doing well and I hope the nurses are too ;)
Gary - The point system was good, besides the mishaps of people forgeting to get new cards, but the process of giving the card to the other player I don't think worked. Often you were still in a fire fight and the person walking over was in the line of fire as well as gave your position away. There's gotta be a better way, but I can't think of it at the moment. Just my two cents.
Otherwise everyone...good game...see ya next time...MP5 get better real soon (I'm not sure if chasing nurses is part of the recovery plan, but hey whatever makes ya feel better).

Yeah I thought that gave a little too much info. to the guys on your team if you died, Maybe if you had to wait until the firefight went down and then handed your card over, IDk. Otherwise great game Gary.

well maybe you didnt see it but, having an AEG pointed at you WITHIN 5 feet wasnt cool, and punches never would have been thrown plus getting shot at when im talking to someone and obviously the game isnt happening "not cool" and whatever happened to the idea of "ok im out but i can still regen" like at the BHD event? i guess THOSE rules are for THAT game only. and besides i ran up on the three that were there and said bang three times so they were out HE argued he wasnt out. i think most people on my team seen me running up on them.
nemesis
06 Feb 06, 05:38 AM
i think the fact that you were running up yelling bang bang and werent there yet at three guys hidden behind a wall kind of set me off... you cant yell bang through a wall but who cares the game is done and over with
I AM COOL WITH YOU NOW AND HOPEFULLY YOU ARE COOL TOO

Someone getting into an arguement and throwing punches at an airsoft game is NOT something people are going to just say,.. "Oh well, it is over now let's just get over it." It goes to show the reason people need to pay attention to the rules and how they work.
Not juts the rules of safety, but also the rules about how you "BANG" someone out. It is things like this that get this hobby banned, kicked you off of fields, field owners to close their fields to the public, etc. Soem people need to take a long bretaher and look at yourself in the mirror before you go off half cocked out of stupidity.
And if anyone doesn't like THOSE comments I just made, maybe you should also realize it is comments like mine and a few others on here that are posted because of things like this that happen! Like them or not, they are reality. Too many people comment like, well those comments are a little harsh, maybe we can word it a little better. WHY? we don't want to hurt the freelings of someon that is sure to do something stupid assed and ruin everyones fun. Now we got idiots fighting on the field and throwing punches over a rule discrepancy. Unbelievable!!!!!
Seems like all the players as a whole need a quick lesson and refresher of the rules.. not just those under 18!!!!
Plain and simple, if you don't like an AEG pointed at you from any distance, DON'T PLAY THIS GAME. And certainly you should NOT play CQB.

Yup, let's sweep this under the rug until it happens again huh?
But the fact is, some of you need to go read the WAA Official Documents- Rules of Conduct.
Section I Weapons, H, 4 & 5 and
Section IV Conduct, B, 1.
Sorry to say, but when you cannotm follow thr rules, things need to happen!!
