In the grim darkness of our time the mechanical deamons forged in the minds of mad men and brought into existence by our own hand now threaten our very existence.

In the year 2003 the Russian administrator of defense Katskive Yorgov approved the research of nano-machine technology for military use at the 2003 russian defence conference held in Kursk as reported by Kazakhstani spys. In 2006 the research is complete and now entering early test phases. Upon transferring samples of the latest and most lethal nanomachines primarily developed by the Brittish professor of nano technology Brim Stavanger under the supervision of russian military officers the test samples were lost. While bieng transferred to a highly lucrative russian military instalation in the remote city of Vologograd the test samples as well as Professor of Nano-technology Brim Stavanger and russian ambassador Oren Tobolk were taken by an inherently fierce division of Kazakhstani X-special forces known as the Keltic Syr, free radicals driven by their lust for power. Leaving nothing except a ransom note in their overtly excessive wake of destruction. The Keltic Syr have made demands that they be put into power over the russian satelite nation of Kazakhstan or else the nanomachines are to be released into the general populous where they can replicate and kill at an exponential rate with no way to stop them since the russian military does not yet have the ability to produce the Anti-nanomachine protiens in large quantities. Professor Stavanger and the russian ambassador are bieng held hostade as extra collateral in the event that the nanomachines are not released into the populous.

During the fighting at Vologograd a single capsule of Nano-machines was opend infecting several key members of the Keltic Syr's leadership. Fortunatly the test sample machines were given a limited dormancy period. Now the Keltic Syr's leadership has only limited time to attain the experimental anti-nanomachine proteins stored away at a highly restricted facility in Omsk. Although before that time comes the Keltic Syr seeks to transport a portion of the nano-machines to a facility hidden deep in the Tempest valley for mass production. The rest are to be smuggled out of the country and releasd in the russian cities of Saratov and Leninsk.

The Russian government has decided not to negotiate or meet the demads of the Keltic Syr. Instead they have sent in the russian special forces division Thor to rescue the hostages and recover the now separated nanomachine samples.

At the same time the Brittish government has made a secret packt with the Russians to keep the situation under wraps. The Brittish have decided to hire an elite mercenarie team to "Aid" the russian special forces. Unfortunatly for them the Brittish have their own plans for the nanomachines, anti-nanomachines and the hostages. Their objectives are unkown to the Russian and Kazakhstani intelligence.

We endeavor in the darkness of battle who cannot win the fight. The time for peace is over and now it is time to die. It is the age of war and our last days must be lived amidst the sound of our own destruction.

Time Frame:
-Mission Briefing 11:00
-Game start: 12:00
-Game end: 6:00

Game Specs and special rules:
-6hrs continuos battle.
-Maximum of 4000rds per player either in bottles, bags or mags.
-Three teams, the Keltic Syr, Thor and the Mercenaries.
-Fixed spawn points cannot be held for more than five minutes.
-No objectives may be hidden or held at any spawn point.
-AEC coarse is required for those 17 and younger.
-Liability waiver is also required and needs to be signed by a parent or gaurdian if the player is under the age of 18.
-Each Team leader will have a list of objectives and a map.
-Each team has a possible 100pts in objectives that need to be held or captured.
-There will be one channel that I will designate incase of an emergency, it is up to each team leader to designate their team channel.

-I am currently drafting patch desinges for the OP: team leaders, anyone else who wants one can send me cash to have one made. I will post a picture of the patch and the cost when it becomes available to me.

Camo Patterns:
-Thor = Woodland, woodland digital.
-Keltic Syr = Anything else
-Mercenaries = Anything they want.

Please leave your callsign and preffered team either Thor or the Keltic Syr. The mercenaries are already covered as well as the role of Brim Stavanger. I also need volounteers for the roles of:

-Oren Tobolk
-Thor commander --1st volounteer was Nemesis (this is a firstcome firs serve deal so he has the role.

No reload for u. You can carry the rounds however you want, but thats ALL you can carry or leave at your base.

Im not going to check and see that everyone only has 4000 rounds either because this is an honor sport and carrying more ammo is just as bad as not calling hits. i hope that everyone who comes adheres to the highest standard of integrity in all aspects of the game.

The website has been udated again with new scenario time limits to space out the day's events. Also a picture of the OP: Mech patches has been added to the Special rules and format page, the cost is still unknown, but I hope to have that by the end of the week.

There is a restroom at the field and I know Gary has sold food items in the past. And I assume outside food is ok, unless ofcourse it is the matine :).

Yes, Gary does have a 'port-a-pottie' at his field for "number 2" but if you gotta take a piss, theres plenty of trees, just make sure your not in the middle of a firefight, otherwise you find the true meaning of pain.

If you bring your own food you'll be alright, I've never seen Gary say "NO" to eating food that you brought.

Posting this for Black_Kade, and I'm sure he'll back me up, but... Please keep in mind that this is a CONTINIOUS EVENT meaning no breaks unless there is an emergency. To my knowledge, he is not planning on allowing going back to the 'safe area' unless something goes wrong with your gun and you need to fix it (assuming you can't on the field).

This i wont allow, if your wearing hall of the other teams camo. For example if you are on thor and you decide to weaf an ACU top and woodland bottom OK :D
If you want to wear a woodland(Thor) top and black(Merc) or marpat(Keltic) bottoms then NO is the answere.

To sum up: NO if you are wearing more than one teams camo pattern, Yes if you are wearing more then one camopattern that are both supported by your team.

As for the staging area, once then game starts that will only be fore emergency's. Your will have a set basecamp you can drop your gear at, although it is reccomended that you carry everything on you. If you forget something in the stagin are you may retrieve it but that will result in loss of points for your team if I catch you...

Dunno when Kade is going to get back on, but...

Milsim limiitations... Continious 6 hour play, limit of 4000 rds in that time. Can be any size magazines that you want, as long as you do not exceed 4000 rds. (Carrying the extra that you cannot fit in your mags in bb bottles is fine.) This is an honor sport, so please treat it as one, and only use the designated loadout.

The 4k rounds does also include what you fit in yoru pistol too btw.

Black vest on woodland camo is fine.
PM Kade for your team assignments and lock in what team you want to be on (Woodland would mean Thor).

That depends, they 2nd spy only needs to roleplay as a spy for 2hrs, and even then he could be doing shooting, as for the ambassador, that depends on either A: how early his team saves him OR B: how early he can escape the likes of the Keltic Syr - The two hostages will have their full gear setup hidden at their base, so the sooner they make it their the sooner they can fight.

Okay now since the weather is getting warmer, the bugs are comming out and the sun is becoming as wicked as ever. so in responce i reccomend bringing bug spray for youself. Also i am REQUIRING that you have atleast 20oz of water on you AT THE MINIMUM. This is a nonstop 6hr game. You WILL need to stay hydrated. I cannot stress the importance if this enough.

Also if you like bring food, but it's not a necessity, youll live w/out it from 12:00 to 6:00.

You should carry, at a minimum, a quart or more of water on your person at all times while playing Airsoft.

With good-quality hydration systems and canteens available, there is not excuse for not having water in the field.

During summertime games, you need to plan on drinking 1 quart of water for each hour of activity. (1qt = 32oz).
Just an FYI, and it might benefit you all to bring sun screen along too. Last Saturday I was an oc and had a long sleeve coat, gloves, and a hat / sunglasses on, and every part of me is sunburnt.

Thanks BK and GaryB! It was a lot of fun, but a tad complicated with 3 teams and one being mercs that could change sides at any minute. The regen rules got a bit confusing too. Otherwise, good game BK and thanks to everyone for the fun of shooting you or being shot by you :o :( :D ;)

Yeah, this game was great!!! The only thing was thIe Mercks, which like people said, they could switch sides at any moment. Another thing that did not like was how much you stressed "blind firing" but almost everybody would just put the gun above there head when they were in a tight spot firing on a bunker. To me, that does seem like blind firing, due to the lack of sight of the person your firing at. Other than that, I enjoyed this game!!!! It was alot of fun, and I had alot of fun Airsoftin' with all of you!!!!

Thx Gary for the use of your field, and to everyone who participated and especially those who volunteered to take roles for the day.

Next time I will have to make things a little more clear, I didnt foresee issues with the spawnpoints early on, but now i know to think it out a bit better. I was also glad to hear less reports of cheating than at a few other games I have been too. There were a few safety isseus during the day, but they were mostly easily resolved.

I will use what I learned today in the planning of my next op, and hopefully it will go a bit smoother. BTW if you didnt get your patch from me today PM me and we can work something out.

Also one last thing to whomever it was who nearly split his Mp5 in half :cry: I didnt catch you name, if your not on the forums does anyone know how to contact him??

It was to my knowledge that Black_Kade had made that announcement to both team "captains" before the game started. So you all were aware of the possible switch. That was our role for the day, and it wasn't easy for us either. It was freakin fun though.

THIS IS THE KIND OF INCIDENT THAT YOU BRING UP TO AN OC! You all were asked, and notified at the beginning of the game to (and I quote my exact saying for the breifing) "If anyone sees a safety violation please notify violator and notify OC immediately. This includes Gary, TomE, and Myself, and I think thats it because DogBoy and Kennedy arn't here."
Failure to do so, an compaling about it later is not the way to go about doing it. This is also one of the things that you bring up at the "After Action Report" that Gary asks of everyone once the game is done.

All in all, I though the game rocked! We (Mercenaries) kind of through a few kinks in the game for not only the teams, but our event coordinator as well (sorry Logs), but he did a great job of recitifying the problem, and making it a bit more interesting.

Was a great day.. Thank you Gary, and Black_Kade. And thank you to everyone who showed up, it couldn't be possible without you guys.

I should have said something to an OC, but like 4 or people from Thor and like 3 Keltics were doin' it, I don't know names so most of us just said aloud "Hey, stop blind firing" but it didn't stop. My question is though, if I go up to a OC and say "Excuse me, 'that', 'that', and 'that' kid are blind firing, how are they gonna figure out who it was, and more importantly, address the situation? Not, bitching A-Ron, just wondering.

Basically if something is happening ill go and hover around that area for a while and if I see anything ill try and correct it. But yeah it is hard to tell. Bieng on the lookout in a specific area of incidence is all i or any OC can really do untill they see something.

So if you See Blind firing or any thing of that nature, notify an OC and they will keep watch over that area to make sure no more happens as long as they can.

Better yet, why don't you put your kill rag on and go tell them they are blind firing? Its a sport of honor, if someone would walk up to me and tell me that I was doing something wrong, I would personally thank them and correct my action, I would hope that others would do the same. If you are uncomfortable walking up to them that's what Gary's safety committee is about, call for one of us or an OC and we will go there with you.

Good game all together, it got quite confusing, people wern't fixing things so i went and talked to some people and it mostly got sorted out.

Only thing that pissed me off was upgraded guns shooting in close quarters and people dual weilding guns. This isn't halo, and when you dual weild you create a hazzard and you usually dont hit ****. As in this case, i put my kill rag on even though i wasn't hit, he was 10-15 ft away dual weilding 2 ak's.

Well, I was using A-rons camera, so he went and put them on his computer last night, unfortunately we had a big storm up here last night and it fried A-rons computer. Im not sure yet weather his hard-drive remained intact, but the motherboard is scrap. A surge managed it's way through his Modem and house circuit breakers and into his computer. He propably wont be online as much untill he gets his new computer.

Aye! My comptuer blewie upie! lol, But the computer is gone, and I made a stuipd mistake of just taking the pictures right off of the camera without making a backup (something I never used to do). The computer said the motherboard was shot, but i ran a test on the hard drive, and it spun up the few times that I did try to start the comptuer, so there might be hope. But I do have more important things right now, I have to get in contact with HP and the maker of the surge protector that my comptuer was plugged into to find out why it not only didnt' trip the strip surge protector, but didnt' trip the fuse in my comptuers surge protector (power cord). Might be a while before I get the pictures :(

It might take a few weeks to get the required tools to salvage the hdd though :( but I will keep everyone posted because there were quite a few good pictures.

Oh, and yeah, the new comptuer I have already, and as someone mentioned how it didn't sound cheap, its not. So far its cost me $1200 for just the computer. Who knows about the modem and the rest of the costs to try and salvage the hard drive from the laptop.

yes someone did, and yes they were rated. you'd be suprised to find out how many shop/lab type goggles are actually rated

I realize that many goggles/ glasses of the sort are rated, but I have also seen rated glasses with flat fronts shatter from what you'd think would be a lite impact.

That is TomE and he has prescription glasses rated at or above ANSI 87.1 with 87.1 side shields. Gary has verified the rating on them.

Kade is correct. Not Tom's glasses, it is a guy in the staging area with lab glasses on.
Not a big deal, BrigH verified that they were ANSI rated, which is cool with me.
Just noticed it and was a bit concerned, as most lab goggles (whether rated or not) do not have much flex to them and are not as thick as prescription glasses, which can potentially lead to cracking/ breaking when taking a hard impact.
Most bb shots will not cause a hard enough impact, but a close range shot from a beefed up gun can potentially cause it to happen.
Like I said, I am sure he would have not hit the field if they were not rated, so I am satisfied. Just wanted to throw out the word of caution.

Thanks Tom. Like i said, I figured somebody noticed and verified the rating. Just wanted to throw out a bit of knowledge about what I have seen happen to chemistry goggles before. Just gotta be careful with them as they are not thick like prescription glasses and do not flex like standard goggles.

Little FYI for everyone wanting to see those pictures.

I am in the process of accquiring a HDD enclosure to see if I can regain the lost items (pictures, work projects, dates, and other business related items that were lost in the storm). I should know within a few days exactly how long it will take.
