OP: Broken Arrow / Sept. 10th

July 15th, 2005
United States Global Hawk Observation planes have been reported flying over Germany. Germany has been taking shots to try and bring down any over-flying aircraft attempting to on-look inside their military zones.

Before any of the four Global Hawks went down, survailence pictures have doucmented several Surface to Air Missile emplacements guarding bunkers that are currently being erected. Two bunker and missile emplacements are currently finished and there are rumors of stock piles of nuclear weapons being stashed in these bunkers.

United States President is currently negotiating with UN Forces for combined support to take control of these facilities to try and prevent another World War, and possibly another Hitler from comming into power.

July 20th, 2005
Tip-off from defecting Germany residents and soilderes, stating that the bunkers that are being constructed are filled with nuclear weapons and are being guarded by German and Russian armies that are heavily armed.
US President and UN Forces have agreed to try to take control of any SAM and Bunker emplacements. If this is not possible, forces have been instructed to pull out and US bombers will be sent in to take out the emplacements.

July 27th, 2005
A flight of B-1 Bombers are enroute from Edwards Air Foce Base, expecting to refuel several times while en route to Germany, to be on call in case bombing of any emplacement is needed. Planes will land and be hopsitalized at Air Foce bases outside of Germany in near-by France.

Additional details will be posted as soon as the aircraft land after their flight.




Fox Team, I.C.E., UAF, STA 2/7th, This game is your chance to shine! I am hosting this game at one of two near-by fields and am hoping that we can get a great turnout.
With that said, this is not only for Green Bay area teams. I hope to get as many people for this Op. as possible.

The to fields that I am considering hosting this at are either Commando Paintball in Abrams, or a private field in Pulaski. I am waiting to state what field this will be hosted at becuase I am hoping myself to get this at the private field in Pulaski that I practice and play at, so that we do not have to pay to use a field, and because it is larger in size, I belive, than the area that Commando Paintball has to offer.

This is how I'm going to assign teams. Green Bay area teams, choose what side you want to play on (Russian, German, UN, or US forces) and anyone else just state what side you want to play on.
GREEN BAY TEAMS:
The team assignments are a first-come, first-severed basis. Pick yours as soon as possible. If you don't get the one you want, too bad, should've gotten here quicker, sorry. :)
All other teams and/or players:
Simply state the team that you wish to be on and you will be put under that team along with the corresponding GB team.

Roster will be posted as soon as all GB Teams are assigned and others start to state which side they would like to play on.

Field location that we will play on will hopefully decided by Monday August 1st, and if not then by Tuesdy August 2nd. I just need to get in contact with the field owners.

Hopefully, since this is my first planned operation, I wont' screw it up too bad.:) :cry:

B-1 Bomber flight has landed safely at an Un-Disclosed Air Force base in near-by France. U.S. President has recently ordered a new flight of UAVs to overlook and keep close recon on the SAM and Bunker emplacements. These UAVs are recording and sending back live camera feeds back to supervisors who will keep a round-the-clock eye on any enemy activity. U.S. President and UN Forces hope to negotiate with Germany and try to bring an end to the building of any emplacments, doing so would lessen any thoughts of war that may arrise.

ADDITIONAL SIDE NOTE:
It is confirmed that wherever this game does take place, it will take place approximatly 20-30 minutes outside of Green Bay, in either Pulaski or Abrams. Acutal field played on will be determined soon because I am trying to keep this game free of charge and at a nicer place to play hopfully!

Also, while I do hope that team leaders of the Green Bay area teams do get involved in this a little, and chose their sides for their teams, I would like to ask that if you prefer the German or Russian fighting force side, that you wear a BDU type other than woodland, this means tiger stripe, OD, urban/winter, digital, etc. This does not mean civilian clothing though. UN Forces and US Forces will be utilizing the woodland camo scheme, and no others please.


Non-Green Bay teams/members that wish to attend, once again please state your name, or names if your comming as a team, and your preferred side.
I will need some players to sign up for civilian roles. The role of the civilian will be addressed later on in by private message(s) as to you will have a specific role in this game! Civilians will be allowed to utilize Black BDU setups if they do so wish, but only civilans will be allowed to please.

Ah yes, Mr. Freeze, the wonderful Luger, lol. Plastic is our friend, but not when it comes to pistols, lol. So is it safe to say that Fox would like to be on the German side? Kennedy never told me what side he wanted to be yet, or even if Fox Team was in for this Operation, see if you can get it out of him.

And yes I know that I changed the date to Aug. 2nd at the top of the message. I want to kinda space out the series of events and forogt that the operation is over a month away still. Ha ha ha, but nonetheless the game will be worth it if everything goes as planned.:D

This game is no longer based off of the Green Bay teams. Since the field has moved, I'd like to rally as much support as i can for it from everyone/anyone who can come. If it would work out better, I could move the date arond to accomidate some people and teams due to the fact that Professor has BHD the weekend after. Tell me what you think and we'll try to suit everybody. If people don't mind having two games in a row (I know I don't) then the date can stay. Give me your input please.

A time we won under my leadership was Operation: Overlord 2005, two teams working in constant cooperation and coordination dominated the battlefield.
all I can give is polite and/or assertive suggetions. if people don't work togeather as a team having an apointed leader is pretty useless

KA-JJ If you don't like what is going on then you volunteer to lead. It isn't always easy. What you don't realize is that alot of the times (at least when I've played) Kennedy hasn't wanted to lead. He did it because no one else would.

I know this is going to be out of the thread, but I feel I must comment on Leadership. Leading is never easy. I do it at work, and I do it on the field. The thing is though that in order to truly "Lead" one must have the respect of those under them or there will be nothing but friction, in which case, the whole team will fail. It's a difficult balance at times, because no matter what, if someone get's taken out-like in real life engagements-the person leading is held responsible. The plus about airsoft is that those in charge don't have to write home telling someone's family how their son or daughter died. This is just a game, it doesn't matter if you win or lose, it just hinges on the fact if you had fun.

I agree with Beest, @ OP: Fallen Angel kennedy lost because the majority of his team wasnt working together. They all just kinda did their own thing. Where as Omega one was very coordinated and they won the day, even though we were the smallest team made up of a buch of people who werent real used to working together, especially me since it was my first big OP. Working together as a team is what will give you the advantage.

had kennedy had the respect of his team mates they could have actually coordinated attacks and slaughtered the rest of us.

Part of the problem was also that kennedy had a very large team, keeping track of 30ppl in the field is not an easy task. Much less making sure their getting thier job done.

In the end, maybe if you listen to kennedy and work together you could have a very succesfull operation.

I know UAF has their olive drab uniform setup as their standard uniform as of now. I want to try and stick as close to possible with people having the recomended uniform, so if all of UAF could have some woodland camo that would be great.

I am going to try with all my might to get off for this weekend and also I am trying to buy most of the type's of camo out there just for the sake of always being ready for conditions. so what type of camo do I need. slap my ass on a side and tell me what camo to have.

Rising tensions between Opposing Forces and the United Nations are causing UN forces to have to withdraw from Germany in hopes that US Forces will soon arrive to help with negotiations. Round the clock UAV flights are providing intel.
It seems as OpFor is setteling into the surroundings and SAM sights are starting to fire upon the UAVs. This leads the Untited Nations and the US President to believe that there is more than what meets the eyes in this situation.
B-1 Bombers are still on standby for a deep strike of these bases, but hopes are that we will not have to utilize their firepower due to believed nuclear supplies being stored at these bunkers.

UAV flights will continue in the area, alert status of Rammstein Air Force Base has been rasied. If forces are needed they will be called in from Rammstein AF base and neutrilize any OpFor in the area.

It looks as if the turnout to this skirmish will be small. So what I will be doing is combining the German and Russian Forces and then US and UN forces so that it is now just the German forces and US forces (go figure ey? the worlds police gets called up for everything ;))

Spanky, you will be re assigned to US forces and if anyone else is comming I need at least five more US forces for this game.

Skirimsh details have been changed accordingly to accomidate smaller teams, and all it means is that some ppl will have more or fewer things to do.

all the ten mph faster will get you there is maybe five minutes quicker. you have to go almost 1.5 times faster than the posted speed limit to get there with any noticible difference. as far as it taking one and half hours, i live out in sobieski, 25 minutes outside of green bay. so if the field is an hour from green bay, its an hour and 25 minutes from my house.

anyway, i do not need anybody to speed in front of me and watch for cops. i know where they sit on the highway/freeway/interstates, and thats all i need to know. so perculator, it is at your descression if you want to speed, it would also be your 200+ dollar ticket for speeding too.

anyway, final status of game is...

game is still on, gear up time is 1000
breifing is at 1030
game is at 1100
lunch break starts 1300
game begins again once lunch is done and everyone is done regearing and last breifing takes place
after that, game will run for approx two hours and that we will call a day

WAA rules apply, along with Gary's field rules.
Medic/Regen rules will be explained during breifing
Ammo loadout is whatever you feel fit to cary


Please be aware, even though it should be cooler than the summer games now, the possiblity of dehydration is still out there. If you don't drink enough water the couple days before, and during the game, and you do a lot of running, or moving around, you are at risk of passing out or getting sick. Just because it is colder does not mean that it can't happen.

Gary might have snacks and beverages on loc., i am not sure, but bring stuff or be willing to go to the gas station during lunch if you don't.

All in all it should be a fun game, and good luck to all.

i guess you could say that the Germans won because they had both the nuke warhead and one disk out of the two, along with the pilots necessary, so its all good.

best part though i'd have to say was either A) when i sat right on top of the objective and Kennedy never asked me to move, or B) Gary's yelling of you pissed on my rat! lol, you just had to be there to see it all, it was great.

yes, i was i. but i was not the one using it. It was one of the guys that came down with me and I had told him once he finishes using it to either give it back to me, so that i may give it to you again, or give it right to you.

he did not give it to me, and when i asked, he said he gave it back to you.

if worst comes to worst, i'll pay for the new one
