Bad timing...thats the day we are running the AEC...darn, next time I guess. Or, can you change the date ;)
thats looks to be kind close to the main highway there, or maybe its just because of the scale of the ariel view, but how close to the highway is that really?

Actually, that's a main road. The main Hwy. is 94 about 3 miles west. This is very near, just north of Great America. It is just like WGF. Once you are inside, you won't see the traffic.
Sorry, Professor. We didn't mean to over lap your events. But there will be other events in the near future. Hope to meet with you guys again soon. :]

It sounds like an extraordinary event, but as I have been planning to go to other out of state events, it left my wallet empty and credit cards full. Hope to come to a game of yours in the spring or summer hopefully. Hope to trade bbs with you fellas too. ;)
But then again, I will see how things can work out for me and some friends that want to go.

No problem, Vigilante... There'll be more games in the Chicagoland area once spring hits...
BTW... The Preliminary RESPAWN rule is now posted in the link below...

Looking forward to seeing WAA in Sparrow Land. The way things are shaping up, there will be 15 Sparrows attending fighting on the American side.
There are new developments from the event. Please check the updates. There will be smoke effects just to add to the flavor of milsim.
Directions are available. Arriving on time is premium because there is great emphasis on starting on time. Late arrivals might have to wait til the next mission.
For those who can make it, Sparrows welcome you.

Yea, I figure either we leave really early Sunday morning, or leave saturday night and stay in a motel. Either way, I never show up late, I always like to be early. I have been reading through for all the new stuff added, it sounds like a ton of fun. Btw, I'm not part of the WAA.

T minus 3 Days
Watch your step!
There will be Flares(bombs) with a 25ft. radius kill zone in place. Trip wires will lace the battlefield. Like a grenade, a squad member with anyone around him, triggering one of these bad boys will be considered dead by the OC.

Keep you head down too!
These rockets will be whizzing by over your head during the final battle!

Also, smoke bombs (faux poison gas) with trip wires will be scattered thru out the defensive perimeter.

The game will be on a strict timeline. There will be intel given out prior to game start that is crutial to both teams. Fireteam groupings have been assigned. The Wisc. boys, if you want to be in the same fireteam must show up on time in order for the captains to re-arrange the line up.
There will be people there before 8AM making final preparations.
Anyone arriving once the game starts will have to wait til the next mission. Just report to the OCs and they will designate your team.
See you all there and exchange BBs with us Bears fan!
BTW, big game for us tomorrow! WooHoo!!

Well, I must say, it was quite a blast. I really loved the game and everyone there. Everyone was soo nice and just soo cool. I will definately make sure I can go to more chicago games.
Well- I can sum it up in 2 words. Freakin Awesome!! Anyone that missed this battle, shame on you.
The entire day was handled in a very safe and professional manner. The pyrotechnics were handled safely, and trip mines and booby traps added some great elements. The medic and pow rules were modified slightly from what was originally posted, but still were enforced and pretty enjoyable. I can elaborate if need be. The highlight of the day was being in the presence of a minigun, and being able to fire it later. As previously posted, the host team was ultra friendly and welcoming, so I think a great time was had by the entire wisconsin contingent. I think we represented wisconsin well, with me, Sigpro, Smoke, SprayNPray, Vigilante, Crisis, and 2 others whos names escape me (sorry) attending.

Whoah is that a smoke grenade that guy is holding on page four of the pictures mid-way down. How did those work out for you guys and whered you get them from (I've been looking for a usable smoke grenade for a long time, Those little firework ones dont produce enough and is obviuosly a fire hazard so kind of a bad idea for use in the field).
Looks Like you guys had fun, the guy with the mini-gun must have a pretty understanding significant other (or maybe he's a Bachelor). :D

This is considered "cold smoke". Very safe to use and smokes for about 5 minutes.

proffessor,
the game came out pretty awsome. very intense. i think we should coordinate more on "major" games to avoid conflict.
anyways SU had a very good combat photographer ang got a few 100 photos of the event (640 pics posted about 100 were deleted to keep bandwidth down). i think this shot below is from one of your SAS troops.... and is a good shot too...
