Before you do anything in this section please know that these are the guidelines that are used for moderation on this section.
Titles of Request:
If you are using this section and you dont follow these rules, your post may be deleted or edited to conform to the following title rules.
If selling an item the title should have at the beginning of it: FS or WTS
If wanting to trade an item: WTT
If wanting to find an item to purchase: WTB
Now, if you are looking to sell or trade an item please use: FS/WTT or WTS/WTT as the designator. Or if wanting to buy or trade for an item: WTB/WTT.
After the designator please put the item that you are wanting to work with. So that the title of an aeg for sale would look something like:
FS: TM SR-16 Upgraded and Lightly used.
This isnt that big of an item, but it makes for a structured set of posts and lets everyone know what you are wanting to do with the item listed.
Looking for an item:
If you looking for an item, please feel free to use the search button.
The items listed are for sale, as items are sold they are removed from this section, though you may find a few that havent been processed yet. You can be sure that for the most part, those items here are for sale.
As we keep the items for a reasonable amount of time before deleting them. For instance, if a post for a springer pistol has not been updated or commented on for over 2 months, it is likely that the person either disposed of it somewhere else, or really doesnt care to sell it.
Selling an item:
Please keep on top of your posting, if you sell the item you can lock the threads that you start, so post that it is sold and lock the thread. The mods will take care of the rest.
We will delete the post if there is no activity for over 2 months. This can be over-ridden by you the seller. All you have to do is bump the post. But, this is only valid if you (the seller) does it. That way we know that you are still offering the item and it isnt a forgotten posting.
Disclaimer
The WAA does not screen the airsoft items that are listed in this section. We do keep the items for sale based on airsoft, but beyond that, the WAA takes and gives no warrantees, or guarantees on the items, their condition, or suitability of use. The transaction is between the buyer and seller, the WAA does not act as agent in any transaction. The WAA does not prequalify the item for sale, so buyer beware. Any transaction is between you and the seller or buyer. That is not to say that if there are complaints on your conduct as a buyer or seller it will be documented and your use of these boards may be limited to reduce any further transactions.
Buyer Beware
Ok, I had hoped that it would never come to this point. But, it has become a problem.
In the world of airsoft, it is easy for anyone to open a store or repair shop. We have seen it time and time again. This is nothing new. You can look at the thread asking for who works on guns, and see that there are quite a few of us that do work on them.
But, their membership in the WAA does NOT constitute that they represent the WAA in ANY WAY The WAA does not dictate NOR mandate NOR condone NOR promote ANY of the businesses that the membership may or may not decide to build for themselves.
The actions of any individual in the case of sales or repair of goods, constitutes a contract between you and them. NOT the WAA.
Their actions are not a reflection of the WAA, nor should they be. The WAA does not have an official armorer/tech/airsmith/gunsmith nor does it mandate repair to be given to any individual.
IF an individual decided to conduct business in the airsoft community and is a WAA member or forum member, that does not put any more or less requirement on your part to solidify your contract or relationship with that individual PRIOR to handing your AEG over to them.
We do not screen or restrict the businesses of the membership or forum contributors (aside from spammers), but we also do not research nor conduct the due-diligence you should complete prior to transacting with the person either.
In short, buyer beware.
This may be common knowledge to you or is what you always use when conducting business, but, for some it is not the case and some have made remarks to the point that the actions of members of the WAA in the case of sales and service are, in fact, being related to the association itself as if the WAA is in some way responsible for the actions of individual members. As this is not the case, I had have to make that painfully clear to all of you as members of the WAA and forum contributors. I believe I have.
These guidelines change from time to time, and this is the place to keep up on the changes.
Thanks
