Depending on how much $$ you want to spend you can look at tactical goggles. Personally, I use ESS brand (both the NVG and Land Ops types). They are ansi rated, full seal, and are not as wide as paintball goggles so hats will fit on your head and feel like they should, if that makes sense. The NVG's especially work well with hats and using sights and keep the hat from sticking up on your forehead, unfortunately they'll run $40-60.

You could also just steal some from your High school science lab. ;)

Just kidding about that by the way, don't go using those they're not the strongest gologles.

Like I told you before you can take the goggles out of the paintball mask, I have done it many times and it works well. If you can not do it bring them to the field and I will work you, These are excellent goggles and I have used them at many games.

If you want new ones Cheaper Than DIrt (http://www.Cheaperthandirt.com) has some very reasonably priced surplus goggles. Using the ones in a paintball mask works fine though, of course

If you do decide to go with surplus goggles be sure to check for the ansi rating. Without it, documented, they won't be allowed, not to mention very, very unsafe. If you choose not to use the paintball goggles (sans mask) my opinion is it's better to spend more $$ and save your eyes than go cheap and risk loosing an eye or eyes. FYI I do have a pair of Bolle t800's I could sell you, pm me if interested.

Another good set of goggles are the Wiley-X. I've got a pair of SGs. They are ballistic glasses and they have a variety of insertable lenses, including a way to special order prescription ones.

You can find them on ebay usually for a discount (that's where i got mine).

I own both the Wiley X SG-1 goggles and the Bolle T800s. As far as looks, the SG-1s are great. Functionally, however, they tended to fog up quickly, making them a hazard at times unless they're worn loosely. Some say the V-cut version solves the fogging issue, but I haven't tried them yet. Also, my lenses tended to get damaged by scratches far too easily, even from regular non-airsoft related wearing. The T800s are a bit bigger, but still allow use of iron sights. They've never fogged on me and while they've taken some scratches, the damage isn't comparable to the beating my SG-1 clear and ruby lenses took.

I read somewhere that Guarder made a copy of the T800s for a fraction of the cost. Then again, some say that Guarder's shooting glasses would shatter when shot by a within-limits airsoft gun.

As a warning; neither of these plastics can withstand the punishment from bug sprays like Repel or Off. I'm not sure if it's the spray or the chemicals in the formula. Anyway, you won't notice anything on the field, but when you're unpacking your gear it will look like there's a cracked film of dried... something... on your lenses. I've lost a set of SG-1 lenses and then a set of T800 lenses to the same fate. On a related note, SG-1 replacement lenses cost about $30 and up while T-800 lenses cost about $25.

ESS-Eye Safety Systems makes a huge variety of dependable goggles and lenses. Ive owned a few of the full seals, and they work great.
